For some reason a match with Montiel is better than Darchinyan. If Donaire moves up in weight to fight Montiel and beat him, Donaire will get a lot of credit. If Donaire loses, well, people will just say that he lost to a great fighter at a heavier weight. But if Donaire fights Darchinyan, and wins, how much credit will Donaire get? At the moment after the fight, people would be excited, but in hindsight 5 years from now, people would view it simply as a rematch that reinforces his previous win especially to those who thought it was a fluke. If Donaire loses, then his first win loses credibility in the eyes of many especially those who thought that win was a fluke. Donaire has a lot to lose in this case. Whereas, for Darchinyan it's a win-win situation.
I wasn't big on a rematch with Vic. Montiel would be a good start. I hoping Nonito starts getting big fights now, there are a lot of good fights out there.
Any one but not bums or a supposed contender with 15-1, or 20-15 record. He needs to earn his ****in' paycheck now against a champion.
Either is a top fight and i would be happy with it, probably if i had to choice one it would be montiel
