Well it's tough to say. First of all I'm unable to discern whether it is sound judgement or just wishful thinking because I ****ing hate Khan and what to see his career over sooner rather than later. Khan's weakness is definitely his chin, you're right. But does Paulie have the power to crack it? I'm not sure. He looks like he's throwing less and less arm punches now though, and really turning into the shots. I think he might surprise people. He buzzed Diaz pretty good a couple of times and neglected to finish him off, which, with the trash-talking, if the situation arises with Khan, I don't think will play out again. Roach is the only thing that worries me. He either took this fight because he thinks it's a no-contest for Khan, or because Khan's big mouth put him in a position where to turn it down would be embarrassing. The way things played out it seemed to me like Roach was informed this would be happening after the fact. Another tough call. I just think that Khan might buckle when he's forced to really dig deep. So far he's just been cruising by people. Malignaggi won't let him do that, and with the constant smiling and laughing and all that bull**** from Paulie, I don't know that Khan has the mental aspect to block all that out and stick to the gameplan. I think that Paulie might just suck him into going for a big knockout and catch him. A very green, much less able Malignaggi was able to win rounds and go 12 with a prime as **** Miguel Cotto. He is twice the boxer he was then. I'm not saying he will definitely beat Khan, but I think he has a much, much better shot than the odds would suggest. At the same time, if you bet on Khan, I wouldn't tell you not to. He's lightning fast, packs a punch, and has one of the best trainers in the world feeding him strategy. He's definitely the favorite for good reason.
Boom, I sincerely HOPE that's not Khan in that avy...because, y'know, who'd select a naked picture of another man as their avy?
That is such a strange picture of Pacquiao. I still wonder if it's real or not. If so, wow...never knew Manny accepted the hop hop urban culture.
Khan sent those pics to an attention whoring glamour model with a butterface and gloriously huge knockers and she snitched to a british tabloid about it. Anyways,I was just as surprised as Paulie when he buzzed Diaz but leading up to that fight,he said his hand was healing really well from his last series of surgeries on it.He constantly breaks his hands so he really should get someone to wrap them better. I think Paulie would be a much more dangerous fighter if he had any sort of pop but his brittle hands prevented that. Who knows.maybe they're actually better this time. If that's the case,Khan might just be ****ed. If Paulie gets power into his hands,it spells bad news for Amir.I don't like Paulie but he's a skilled boxer. Hopefully Amir's chin has improved with Freddie.
Khan has faster hand speed hes bigger has more power - and Paulie cant exploit Khans biggest weakness - his chin. Paulie is difficult to pin down even more so under Sheriffe but if Khan can slow Paulie's legs down enough then he hasnt been that hard to hit Cotto and Lovemore N'd fights (Diaz 2 fight excepted) I still think Khan will win win maybe on points or maybe a late stoppage. I just dont see how Paulie can win moving around the ring a lot wont bother someone who was so good in the am's like Khan was. Khan has basically developed that into a style that Roach has working for him in the pros and Dr Roach has tried to work on his defence so i cant see him getting caught by too many of Paulie's jab which is PM's main weapon s Diaz had no business at 140 as was evident in the size difference on fight night - Paulie probably can hit harder than he does but rarely sits down on his shots even so i dont think he will have enough to beat Khan
I have only seen one open work out (the one on the scene), but that was very unimpressive. I don't know if they were taking it easy because it was a media day but Paulie didn't look like he was pushing himself at all.... looked quick as hell though which is good because i thought he lost some of that speed. Come on Paulie, KO Khan
He was taking it easy there IMO. Looked more like a warm up & he didn't want to give too much away. One thing I felt was the he seemed to be hitting a lot harder than normal. It looks like most of his hand trouble is gone & Sherif Younan is bringing a bit of power into his game as well. From what I've heard the camp is going great & Sherif claims he's been hurting people in sparring as well. Whether that's true or not remains to be seen But the cornrows are gone :-(
Not to be trusted if there's a chance Paulie's hands are solid now. Eesh. Khan getting KO'd doesn't seem so far fetched now.
