    Does anybody else think its a bit late at 37 for Mormeck to be moving up? I mean he was a great fighter but I cant see him having much of an impact.

    Didnt see the Maddalone fight though, anybody know how he looked?

    I seen it. Both JMM and Maddalone looked pretty good. I think I had it 6-2 for JMM.....

    and yes i think its a little late, but better late than never I guess... He looked not bad in the Vinny fight...but JMM will always have a cloud over his head from past stamina issues.... We will see how he puts up vs. Oquendo, who arguably beat Toney not to long ago, and has 3 back to back KOs on his resume.

    Mormeck wants to become a promoter and his HW campaign is also a way to lauch his new career. He signed Anthony Mezaache, Khedafi Djelkhir, Daouda Sow and they will fight on his cards.
    Mormeck knows he is past it but he can still give a good show. Maddalone had come to fight and their fight was fun to watch even if the level was not impressive. Oquendo who is a real HW is favored to win but Mormeck will do his best.

    Both Mormeck Banks and Adamek are having some great runs in the HW division so far.

    Banks just beat Walker, Adamek beat Arreola, and Mormeck just beat Oquendo today.

    In addition to Haye-Adamek, I'd love to see Banks-Adamek or Banks-Haye. These would all be interesting.

    More to the point...there really ought to be a "super-cruiserweight" or "junior heavyweight" division....with a max of 225 or 230. Putting Haye or Adamek in the ring with a Klitschko is an absurd mismatch but these fighters might be stronger than the Klitschkos P4P.

    Adamek beat him once and beat him badly. Banks is a good fighter, but it would be a step backwards to Adamek.

    I actually think Banks is more natural at his weight than Adamek is. I mean, Banks is a pretty rough and big dude....I knew after he fought Adamek that he would go to Heavyweight cause hes got that HW type of body frame.

    I watched that. Oquendo was the most effective clincher against a guy who came to box.

    Um, no they don't, Haye is doing well as HW, Adamek just won a lopsided UD against Arreola, and Chambers won lopsided fights against Peter and Dimitrenko. Neither Klit is is unbeaten, the truth of the matter is the HW division is extremely Shallow, with CWs being the best fighters behind the Klits.

    Adamek has a fight in August
