Yes finally, Charley Goldman
Charley Goldman when he starte boxing at age 16 was a companion and stablemate of the immortal,Terrible Terry McGovern...He started fighting in NYC and had about137 recorded fights and double the fights not on record..Goldman became a famous trainer of Al McCoy,Johnny Risko,Lou Ambers, Marty Servo, and of course Rocky Marciano, which made Goldman famous...
When I was a youngster I would see Charley Goldman,sometimes wearing a black derby at Stillman's Gym, NYC..Quite a pixy looking character was Goldman....

 

hh,according to Wikipedia,Charley Goldman had 137 recorded fights,and Goldman claimed to have over 400 bouts,most of them quasi fights of that long ago time...
Incidentally hh, I KNOW from a personal experience that I related to ESB awhile back, that Wikipedia, BoxRec etc.have ommited ONE fight that I attended, and has NEVER been recorded. I hate to bring this up again,but I will..In the early 1950s I saw a fight between Ray Robinson and Bobby Dykes,at the old outdoor arena called the Coney Island Veledrome..Robinson won the decision in a lack luster bout. My instinct tells me that it was their second fight as they did fight on Nov.8,1950 in Chicago, so this fight was much later on.
I know that in BoxRec Robinson is listed as fighting a Billy Brown Sept.4,1950 in New York...But I saw Robinson against popular Bobby Dykes, a tall welterweight contender of that era...I remember a late Ray Robinson arriving in his fuscia colored Caddy,with his entourage going into the arena one half hour late...No record of that fight I witnessed,have I seen...It still is a mystery to this day,that a Ray Robinson fight witnessed by thousands, including yours truly,is not recorded in ANY record books..
Incidentally the old Coney Island Veledrome was the old arena where Jim Jeffries fought Fitzimmons, Tom Sharkey,and Jim Corbett in 1899 and 1900.The old arena was torn down in the middle 1950s....B.B.
