he's a slow starter and he has a few tendencies which can be exploited..problem is the guy is unpredicteble..You just never know what mind set he's having that night which is the determining factor based on the gameplan implemented. -i think mayweather could potentially be a great trainer because his corner does not really help him significantly. You would have to have multiple strategies. Here is what i think would work. This fighter would have to be around 5'9" or taller and have at least same reach as PBF Not to mention strong mentally and great stamina. round 1 pressure PBF ala Margarito. It takes him a while to adjust to pressure and you might catch him with something big. This is really just to throw him off for later in the fight. round 2 repeat round 1 round 3 repeat round 1 round 4 Stop pressuring PBF has already figured you out by the middle of the 3rd round and you are getting countered and punching air as his lateral movement has you walking into nothing and hitting nothing. Now you must use your quick stiff jab. Play the boxer puncher role. Sit back and wait for PBF to be within range and use that quick jab to keep him resetting. round 5 Keep using that quick jab. Watch out for that overhand right over top of it. If he isnt throwing it yet he will. round 6 repeat round 5 but circle towards his left hand so u can get more space between you and that right hand. round 7 PBF will probably be ad******g his footwork and trying to land that right hand over the jab. Depending on orthodox or southpaw stance now. If you are an orthodox fighter start throwing some left hooks to his chest after the right hands come. If you are a southpaw fighter start shotting that straight left to his stomach or chest. You should catch him sooner or later that now on top of him trying to counter that jab he has to also be worried about being countered with a straight left or left hook. round 8 Basically keep up with round 7 all the way till the end. round 9, 10, 11, 12 hopefully all those things have given you the lead on the scorecards and PBF and his crew know this so he has to pressure more thats when you have ur best shot at landing something big ala Mosley. DO NOT force the exchange if PBF is desperate enough he is a warrior and will know he needs to exchange more leather to pull out the win. Everybody fights differently when they know they are down on the cards and frustrated. Luckily for you PBF although packs good power does not have fight ending power in either hand. I dont think you could do just one strategy against PBF. He always figures everyone out and it seems everyone just has one strategy. Thats why its important to change the strategy to keep him guessing. Thats why u presssure first so he thinks its just the typical style everyone uses on him. Then you change it up and start boxing but turning the correct way not towards taht right because he is fast enough to hit u with that right over the jab. Anyways thats about the only reason i could think of. You cant just outbox him or pressure him all fight long. You would have to be considerably bigger than PBF to be able to pull that off. Not to mention very quick also.
