What's the craic with Kenny Egan...:think Will he turn pro...:think He must be on some good till to stay amateur...:think
I'll take your word on Tucker but I know for a fact that Carruth's debut was in London. That fight he had at the Kings Hall that night was his second pro bout.
Kenny won't turn pro now... Hes on good dough with the Irish high performance and will probably have a job coaching the junior team when he decides to pack it in
Hey Carlos, do ya feel like winning a world title before the end of 2015? I got odds of 8/1 off Paddy Powers. I got odds of 20/1 [Skybet] for ya to win a world title before the end of 2012 but I wouldn't want to be putting that much pressure on ya. :happy
joe ward in the star today he is a grandson of the hulk joyce , them joyces are some boxing family This content is protected he said he wont be entering the seniors next year as he is in no rush he wants to go to london and if he does qualify he said probably go as a light heavy and then he will turn pro
I wish ye feckers would take photos or scans on the articles in Irish papers because none of them really have any on line editions. Consider that yer first public warning! :good
Yep, any of the 'big 4' belts. You have to ring Skybets dial-a-bet service to place the bet. Let me know if you want the email they sent me with the phone number and odds.:good
You actually have me questioning myself now. i have a mental picture of Carruth going down and i remember him at the weigh-in in the Europa so he definitley was on the bill but you seem pretty confident in your convictions so i must be mistaken. So why have i still this image of him going down? Anyhow apologies mate if ive made a balls-up
No worries, maybe he went down in that one too! On a related note I think Kenny made the right decision not going pro, I think like Carruth his style just wouldn't really have suited the pro ranks and like Carlos said he is getting good money and will probably have a job for life with the IABA when he retires. I wonder if we will ever see himself and Joe Ward face each other in an Irish final before he hangs them up!
I'd say he'll box in the box offs for the world championships next year as thats when the lads start qualifing for london, i think he'll be to young for kenny seems a wonder talent.
