I give up. Defer to my analogy about the train of idiocy that you're on. I'm done. If you haven't gotten it by now, you're simply never going to get it.

So I back up my statements with facts, yet I'm the idiot?

Prove me otherwise. Prove to me that Shane in fact is very weak and can only put up 120 lbs.

Other than that, my point stands that it is likely that only the elite MMA fighters can match Shane for overall strength.

I mean is MMA the sport with ultimate athletes? Really MMA is the sport for retired athletes.

I like that this dude thinks clinching with boxing gloves in the context of a boxing match = clinching in mma and states his opinion as fact. Clown

He is talented but in particular he is athletic so I think he would do well.

If you have two guys using the same technique and one is obviously dominating, then one would have to say that he is likely the stronger man.

So, you're saying overall strength is not able to translate into MMA strength?

What is MMA strength some kind of magical strength that can only be acheived by guys who retired from other sports where they could no longer perform in order to dominate the UFC?

    1. Your working off the assumption that Shane Mosley is stronger than most MMA fighters when I doubt you've done the research to back that up

    2. In grappling, technique beats strength more times that not. Howabout Floyd has good dirty boxing technique and thats why he dominated Mosley in that area? Or hey maybe Mosley was just tired and his muscles werent operating at full capacity, who knows?

Point is your comparing apples to oranges.

Aldo would destroy Floyd with leg kicks and then when Floyd can't run anymore he will take him down and ground and pound him for a TKO.

I have a difficult time believing that Mosley can bench press over 300lbs If so it is a pushing strength not a pulling strength or core strength that wrestlers have been working on since they first entered the sport

No, striking is a lot more complex than wrestling. The margin for error is smaller, although both are difficult at the elite level, as is the case for all disciplines.

As for how strong Shane Mosley is in comparison to mma fighters, who knows.

Wow, now you're claiming one to be more complex then another? Doing that alone makes you look foolish.

They're two completely different things. They're both immensely hard, but to say that there's a smaller margin for error in striking is absurd. In fact, I could make an immensely strong case that the opposite of what you state is true. I won't, but it's two completely different things and it's like saying geometry is more difficult then algebra. They're both difficult but but different.

    You're obviously insecure.

Thing is Mosley is reputed to be very strong in his three core lifts, IE deadlift, squat, and bench.

You do realize that there are significant athletes that compete at a pro level in real sports.

For instance, Darren Sproles at 5'6'' 185 can safe squat 800 lbs, bench 405 and clean 345. Just because YOU may not be able to do this, doesn't mean that THEY can't.

Stength is strength. Don't be a hater.

Last time I checked, you don't get bloody noses, black eyes, broken ribs, and broken jaws when you mess up in wrestling.
