I will admit that I am a new fan to boxing. I always watched it from time to time but never very consistently. A friend of mine took me out to watch Pacquiao/Cotto and I've been hooked ever since.

I've since gone back and done a lot of reading about past fights/watching on YouTube kind of stuff. I came across a website that sells DVDs of fighters careers and think I am going to purchase some of those.

My question for this forum is, who are some of the most exciting past fighters that I should go back and watch? It seems like the Ali-Frazier-Foreman-Norton days was the golden age for the Heavyweight division? Who else are some of the more exciting fighters?

    Thanks

Roberto Duran. Many ups and downs and legendary nights.

Also cant go wrong with Arguello, Chavez or Hagler.

The days of the 4 WW greats are the best to go back to and follow . Personal pleasure crying watchin Holmes beat Ali then watching Tyson trash Holmes then watching Lewis beat Tyson in that order.

Arguably the greatest Heavyweight of all time

Cassius Clay AKA Muhammed Ali is my pick

    Thanks for the input guys

I'm leaning towards going with Ali, either Leonard or Duran, and maybe a more recent fighter like Lewis, Holyfield, Jones, or Tyson

Other than the obvious, Tyson, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, other choices might be Aaron Pryor, Alexis Arguello, Boom Boom Mancini, Arturo Gatti.
