    Whitaker has a better jab than Mayweather.

    I think that's true, although Whitaker was faster than he seemed to be, and could almost turn it up a gear in speed when he had to - it was almost like he was operating at a restricted level to emphasise technique/timing and to avoid jumping into counters. But yes, Mayweather has the faster hands, I'd say.

    I don't see it making a difference though.

    Thats rediculous,i like Mayweather at all their weights,he was faster hit harder especially at 130-135,sweet pea gets vastly overrated on this forum.

    Mayweathers lead right would be a huge factor in this fight.

    How many times does this thread have to come up?

    Pea had the more insistent jab, was a better all-round fighter IMO, and has the chin/defensive sharpness not to allow Floyds sharp accurate shots to put him off his gameplan.

    Sweet Pea by a fairly wide decision, Floyd always being competitive but Pea just doing more.

    I'd say it gets closer as they go up in weight though. At 135, it's all Pernell.

    +Mayweather has problems with southpaws and Whitaker was one of the best.
