If he wasnt hurt and had heart he would have got up anyway. What would Tyson, Holyfield, or Paul Williams would have done? What would Mayweather or Martinez have done?

Only Cintron would do what he did. Even Hopkins got up when he fell outside the ring and Hopkins took a fall far worse than Cintrons.

    1. SURE.... anybody with a bit of knowledge of Kermit's career would've thought of this outcome, just nobody mentioned it or was even close to it previous to the fight, @ least in the forums!!!!!!!!
    2. YOU predicted Cintron would find a way out by the 9th................................... I would reeaaaally love to see that prediction in any post PREVIOUS to the fight! F****NG CLOWN!
    3. Kermit's EXXXXXX- TRAINER said... do I really need to continue??? that's why it's his EX...trainer!!!

Board is full of "after-event-gurus" and this clown is one of them. Kermit wanted to continue and that's a fact. Props to him. You've got to have some balls to even get into the same ring as PW, fully knowing that a very probable loss will be very denigrating 4 your future in the sport. BTW, YES, I had Cintron winning or at least draw up to that point... THERE, I SAID IT!!!!!!!!

    new article posted on Eastside..

"The two fighters managed to miss wild punches and get tangled up in arms and legs. Williams fell and Cintron did a one and one-half gainer through the ropes and on to a ringside table and then the floor. Cintron's actions seemed odd, because normally a falling person will grab anything at hand to prevent a fall, but in his case he went right in between the ropes without grabbing one for support"

that what gets me he didn't even bother try stop his fall. When a person is falling over their instinct is to grab the nearest thing closes to them even if it is a person. Kermit the frog had ropes right in front of him but for some bizzare reason he ignored them and chose to just continue falling. Im sorry something fishy is going on here. RIbbit!!!

Orders made by the doctor, if not mistaken the doctor was right around that area when the fall occur. Anything could have happen esp. if he hit his head, trauma or even risking being paralyze. If the doctor tells you not to move then you don't move simple as that.

This has gotta be one of the most stupid things i have ever heard! Why on earth would he launch him self out of the ring? there are so many other ways of throwing a fight, other than risking life and limb throwing himslef out of the ring in such and awkward way.

I think he thought the ropes would stop him, however he went flying through them instead.

unless he knew the rope wernt tied behind the ribbons then he couldnt have planned it

because proper ropes would have kept him in the ring

The funny thing is that one judge at it 40-36 Williams and the other had it 40-36 Cintron. Scoring is a joke.

He could have just fallen down. I rewatched it and he dove through the ring. The doctor said he coudnt continue. You would think being a fighter you would at least petition more than what we saw him do if he really wanted to keep going. YOU GET BEAT UP FOR A LIVING. Id like to think the top professional boxers are a little more tough than that.
