If ANDERSON SILVA vs SHOGUN RUA doesn't happen next, the UFC should just end.

Shogun is formidable enough not to crumble under a single strike. His own striking is devastating and he'll walk through fire to put the hurt on Silva. Couple that with him being a world glass grappler and he could be the one to burst the bubble.

As I remember it, it was Hendo's wrestling and GnP that won him the 1st round vs Silva. You're living in a fantasy world if you think Sonnen has a prayer vs Silva.

Thats a nightmare fight for 'Page. A healthy Shogun is so similar to the WAndy who raped him he probably would do best to avoid the fight.

GSP's body frame may not be big enough to put on the pounds required to fight Silva, where as Silva could easily put the extra weight on and still compete at a high level.Let's see Silva-Rua!

I believe it would be avery good fight I would give the edge to Silva. Simply he would stay to his right a little better than machida. check the legs better with his lead leg (good defense) i donot understand why more MMA guys donot do it. Machida is a good defensive fighter and elusive but he stands too much in the middle (in front of his opponent).

I'll take that feeble reply as an admission that I was correct :good

I have to agree mostly, Silva has nothing more to prove at 185 & Shogun says he`d fight anyone - including Anderson Silva - that the fans wanted.

IMO, the 2 best strikers in MMA, both black belt BJJ guys too, both can wrestle as well but its not their strength so really they will be matching each others strengths against each others as opposed to vice versa like wrestler vs kickboxer type fights.

I fancy the aggression of Rua to make Silva fight at a pace he isnt used to & I see him pulling out the victory.

I give Anderson the edge in technique when striking but Rua - for such a come forward fighter - has brilliant technique too & wont be made to look second rate by any fighter in the world in this regard.... I think the difference is gonna be the power that Rua generates in his kicks, Anderson wont have felt this before IMO & it will make him defensive enough that Shogun should get the points win.

Ps. even if the striking isnt going Rua`s way, I see him as the naturally stronger man with the better takedowns & he could also choose that route if als not going well... I think Shogun has more options to win in this one, Silva has only one & thats to hope Rua keeps it on the feet & is stubborn enough to keep it there IF Silva is winning the striking match.

    Rua UD Silva

I think if anything YOU proved yourself wrong by admitting that Hendo won the first round due to his great wrestling, hence a great wrestler doing what he does best can win a fight against Silva. So yea sarcastically calling you a genius IS the correct response. Genius.

Anyone that is totally counting Sonnen out still must not realize that in MMA anything can happen.

If Rua & Silva are both on form (which they appear to be) then I honestly think the only men that can compete with them are each other.... I wouldnt mind seeing Silva v GSP & Rua vs the Rampage/Evans winner (hopefully Rampage) as elimination bouts with the 2 winners meeting in a massive fight... Im pretty sure Rua & Silva would be in that final.

Wrong on all counts dick. Hendo won 1 round vs Silva then got owned in the 2nd, and that was the fight over. And Hendo is a much better fighter than Sonnen, so how exactly does that prove that Sonnen has a chance vs Silva?? I'll end the suspense for you: It doesn't. You can come back and call me genius again once I have been proven 100% right on Silva vs Sonnen :good
