OK lets say he beats Berto. What does that add to his legacy? At this point, very little, and there's still a real possibility of losing to Berto. Other than that, there's no one else at 147 aside from Pacquiao that he could fight. 154 is largely home to fighters he has fought before (Cotto, Margarito etc.) and of course Paul Williams who Shane won't fight.

One option I hadn't thought of before, is a 3rd fight with Winky Wright. Provided Winky wins his tune up they could fight at 154 and it would be a way for Shane to avenge 2 of his losses before he retires.

Man come on, we get it Floyd is P4P #1, that has nothing to do with the fact that Shane is gonna be 40 next year.

Mosley to old to add anything notable onto his legacy against an elite fighter.

Berto however is not an elite fighter and mosley would KO him.

He should BUT Berto has father time on his side and he is faster than this version of Mosley, I'm a huge Mosley fan but he is at the very least about 6 years removed from his prime, asking him to fight at age 39 is crazy, I will cheer for him regardless but its time for him to move on from boxing.

Actually he did, and took a lot of **** for saying that Mosley looked terrible before the fight.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Mayweather's win, I thought Mosley would beat Floyd and I was very impressed by his performance. However it was hard to know how much Mosley had declined due to his inactivity, that wasn't the same Mosley that fought Margarito.

People are not impressed with Berto BUT he was considered a live dog against an old Mosley who is only getting older by the moment while berto gaining experiance.

The Mosley that beat Margacheato gets smoked too, the only time Shane had a chance of taking PBF was way back between 99 and 2004. Anytime after that and he just doesn't have the speed or reflexes to beat Mayweather.

I agree, and on top of that this Luke guy is the one who use to say no way Floyd beats Shane, otherwise he will not come back on ESB. Thats him.

Actually not a bad idea... But I would love him to have a farewell fight against a good fighter (and win) and then hang the gloves

He wanted to prove that he was the man at 147... and now that he knows he's not, I see no reason for him to go on so he should just hang up the gloves.
