I have not been impressed with Williams since the Quintana KO.

The last two wins have been pretty iffy and beating semi-retired, 37 yr old Wright and 39 yr old Phillips was nothing to get excited about.

I kind of get what you're saying about Wright, but I don't know how many people were expecting him to pitch a near-shutout against Wright, given the situation it was hard to look more impressive.

The win against Cintron was bogus and it should've been a NC anyways, but we'll never know what it looked like after 12 rounds. The win against Martinez was iffy but it was competitive and against a very, very good fighter so it's hard to take too much away from him for that.

He is what he is. He's not technically brilliant. He's not the second coming of Mayweather. He's good at what he does and he's a tough matchup for almost anybody.

true especially his most recent "win" but I still like williams and expect him to be around for a while and have the belts pretty soon

Well Martinez was a really good fighter and it was a really good fight. Cintron was fighting smartly but by the time of the ring fall Paul looked to be turning up the heat... It looked like Paul was about to get on that ass, but we'll never know so I won't judge that fight.. Wright was inactive but what Williams did to him and how he shut him down was impressive... Every time Paul fights I'll be tuning in.. The guy wants the best, and he always shows up.

Agree with some of you that Williams' performance vs Winky was shocking to say the least and PWill deserves the credit, but we can't overlook the obvious. Wright was going on 38, was coming off a loss and had not fought in almost 2 years.

And It's definitely not his fault that the Kermit fight ended how it did but it was hardly a convincing win!

I don't think he exatctly "won" either of his last two fights either. By my scorecard he lost to both Martinez and Cintron.

He gets way too much credit for all those swings and misses of his IMO.

Good point. He is winning ugly. Not the best way to market yourself for big fights.

Paul just gets in there and wing punches he looks sloppy as hell. I think if he keeps the comp on where it is you'll see him gettn knocked out soon. Everytime I see this guy fight he's gets rocked. He was rocked and busted up in the Martinez fight and still won according to 3 old judges. Cintron hurt him, buckled his kness good and 5 seconds lated just decides to dive out the ring.

That doesn't make any sence-I don't know how he went out like that but I don't think he was tryn to get outta the fight by any means.

i know wearing gloves prevents you from using your hands to stop yourself, its sad he got shafted by the judges, california scoring is just as suspect as texas in my opinion.

Martinez is a top top fighter and he can't really be blamed for what happened with Cintron.

PW gets hit too often. He'd have KOd Cintron IMO, even with the bad start that he had, but still, he should use distance better. At 6'3" with the physical abilities that Williams has, he really should impose himself better.
