Very sad news.

Rest in peace Archie, a man who gave a lot to the sport and his local community.

 

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends at this sad time, Archie.

The 10 bells will be tolling at events around the country this weekend.

You will be remembered fondly and with much respect.

My mate made a documentary on Archie and the Forgewood gym for a personal project. I'll try get him to put it on Youtube so people can check it out.

One of the nicest guys in boxing and was a excellent coach and friend to all his boxers and community will sadly be missed by anyone who had the priviledge of
company . the forgewood boxing club is without any doubt one of the best clubs in scotland and its produced champions for years and alot of this was down to big ARCHIE .

 

i'd like to see that mate

great turn out today for archie, church was packed to the rafters, as well as outside, quite possibly 1100 or 1200 people attended, with the police escorting the procession to the graveside
