Im the most exicted in awhile at some of the title fights we got coming or potential coming in the next several months. I think with the upset loss by BJ to Edgar it shook up a weight that needed to be shaked up, GSP and Silva are probablly taking on their toughest title challengers in some time. Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin - I love this one so much because its the first time Brock will face somebody around his own size. Carwin is a monster of a man who just like Brock can wrestle at an elite level and can unleash a vicious right hand. With Brock's recent illness you wonder at what kind of health hes currently and also you wonder what happens if Brock cant take a guy down and now has to face a guy with size and power ? Shogun Rua vs Rampage Jackson II - Ill say this if this goes down I wont be all that exicted. Its hard to imagine a rematch going to differently as Shogun whooped that ass as good as you possibly can 5 years ago and IMO Rampage hasnt improved his biggest weakness from that fight his Muay Thai defense enough to handle what Shogun can throw at him. However it is Rampage and he would be a deserving contender and he is a 1 punch KO artist so anything is possible. Shogun Rua vs Rashad Evans - Another one that id be ok with but id honestly rather see Shogun in with maybe Lil Nogueira. Rashad to be has to many striking weaknesses like a bad chin, no leg kick defense and his head movement isnt very hard to time and im very sure Shogun would. Of course Rashad is a great wrestler and could test Shogun's conditioning by forcing him to grappler at a rough pace. Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen - This is IMO Anderson's toughest Middleweight challenge since Henderson well over 2 years ago. Its obvious if you wanna beat Silva you gotta take him off his feet and I dont know if anyone in this divison can stop Sonnen's takedowns and Silva's biggest weakness in his takedown defense. So if Sonnen wants a takedown and trys for one hes going to get it. But can he get past Silva's striking first ? Can he hold Silva down and do any damage if he does take him down ? Im looking forward to finding out. George St. Pierre vs Josh Koscheck II - I think its worth pointing out since GSP's last loss to Matt Serra over 3 years ago the only man to cleary win any round vs GSP was Koscheck in August 07. GSP did have the better control in that fight but Koscheck since that has drastically improved his striking and has got back to his wrestling roots back then he stopped practicing wrestling because it was his biggest strength and he didnt feel he needed to train it in the same way he needed to for his striking and Jiujitsu. Will it make any difference ? I dont know but im very interested to see if it does. GSP hasnt really made any long term commitments in fights to striking since Serra one aside from the Jon Fitch fight. If Josh can stuff GSP'S takedowns he could make GSP very nervous by walking forward and looking to land those big strikes of his. Frank Edgar vs BJ Penn II - I didnt enjoy fight 1 that much I think Edgar won it just on the basis of outworking BJ. I am glad Frank won though because it shook up 155 and that needed to happen. I think BJ will step it up this fight greatly but this isnt like before when you say well BJ cant get took down or outboxed at 155 because he just now was vs Edgar. I dont know for sure if BJ steps it up if he can take down Edgar and work his Champion BJJ or if he can land his powerful strikes and do damage to Frank. Im exicted for this rematch thats for sure.
Lesnar-Carwin.I'd expect something like out of the Incredible Hulk.Lesnar is Hulk,Carwin is abomination.Expect brock to tear apart police cars and use them for gloves.
i'd actually describe carwin's hands as hams made from murder. This'll be an interesting fight or a very fast one.
All those fights are exciting. Brock-Carwin especially will be great. GSP against Kos will be awesome too. I love watching GSP in any fight, he's so awesome on a technical level, his fights are awesome just to watch and learn from, he makes it look so easy and the next time you train reality hits Didn't enjoy watching the Hardy fight because I wanted Hardy to win but other than that I love GSP. Kos is good so can give GSP a fight but the result won't be good for him and seeing Kos get his face smashed in will be awesome
Ive got absolutley no time for GSP Koscheck , really no time , GSP is better than Kos in every single department , this fight is a joke imo !!!!!! im really really excited for Rampage Rashad , much more than any of the up and coming title fights , the one that would give me a real hard on is Shogun Silva @205 , closeley followed by Penn Aldo if Penn can regain his title , but i think Edgar has BJ's number on the feet and Penn cant take Frankie down so i see a repeat of the first fight just a little closer as it was obvious BJ was not right !!!!!! I wanna see GSP move up , he's too good for any WW in the world , Thiago Alves is the outright #2 WW in the world and GSP made him look awful , the man is too good for anybody @70 !!!! , why the **** not throw him straight in with Anderson @85 ?????
