    the first black fighter to retire 49-0 or higher? Let's take a look at this fraud's career and see him for what he really is. Now, I admit he does have masterful defensive skills and has mastered the art of boxing,but where is are his REAL top competition fights?

    I'm sorry, I'm just not sold on Mayweather Jr. For someone to be in the pro-game this long since 1996 and he just now wants to fight someone like Mosley in 2010? This is just un-excusable in my opinion.

    Mosley said he asked Floyd if he wanted to come 135 and fight him and Floyd didn't want none of it. So now, in 2010 he fights a 38 year old Mosley, who was clearly over-trained and drained(think about it,when has Mosley ever been out of breath and gassed in his entire pro-career,hardly ****ing ever!!) and we're supposed to believe he's the best fighter of our era? Where are Mayweather's prime Vernon Forrest and Winky Wrights,which Shane had no business fighting Winky in the first place, let alone twice. And remember at the time, no one wanted anything to do with Vernon in ****ing 2001-2002.

    Mayweather's win over Hatton, impressive Ko? Luis Collazo had already exposed and should have gotten then win over Hatton.Collazo got ****ed in that fight.

    Mayweather barely gets a split decison win over De La Hoya in 2007.
    Not Impressive.

    Floyd sr. sees someone out-shining little boy Floyd so he starts doping accusations and all of these other alleged allegations with no proof what so ever.Here's a letter in this months Ring magazine:
    Floyd keeps telling people that Manny was ordinary until he was 26 and then became extraordinary allegedly because of PED's. Manny was a 3 division champ by the time he was 24! There's nothing ordinary about that.

    Let's not forget how Fraud retires when the welter-weight division was at it's peak of the decade in 2007, with Cotto,Mosley,Margarito,Williams etc.
    And then he comes back and fights a ****ing light-weight for christ's sake! Really? Are you ****ing serious? I could just see if Shane or someone after a 16 month layoff wanted to fight a ****ing light-weight!!! Yeah,sure!!!

    If fraud can step up and beat some legit prime fighters, hey, he'll have my respect. But my favorite fighters are the ones that fight everybody and anybody anytime. Like Hearns or Ray Leonard said, back when they fought, you couldn't duck anybody, not even if you wanted to.
    It's time for Floyd to fight some Forrest and Winky's etc.

    you forget floyd wanted a mosley fight in 06 and just now he didnt even want to fight him. he wanted the manny fight at that point. so yes he ducked mosley in 09 but mosley should have fought him in 06
    Floyd beat 3 all time greats
    and a slew of Hall of Famers he has done well if arum lets pac out he wil be ATG #4

    You are a clown. I can't stand you fools who so easily say FMJ was "ducking" Mosely, but fail to mention the numerous call outs that FMJ made to Mosely. You also don't mention when Mosley told Mayweather to fight Margarito then maybe he would fight him. You conveniently forgot those parts of history huh?

    Mayweather retired after he fought the biggest names of his career and any fight after that would be less and a lifetime of boxing. Are you saying it was fear? Fool. None of those guys could beat Mayweather. Who? Cotto? Zab was giving him all he could handle so he had to throw multiple crotch shots. Margacheato? Really? Williams? Maybe, but he had no star power and who else was fighting him?

    Where do you guys come up with this nonsense? :huh

    You lost any attempt at objectivity when you called Floyd a fraud in your second sentence. Does he have the best resume, no. Is it a good resume I would say so, some would call it ok. But to totally discredit his career makes you a hater and probally a Pactress:blurp

    The most important thing about the Floyd Mayweather saga is the beauty of timing. At this stage, post retirement PBF, there's not much left in his own division by way of great prime fighters. Who do we match him up against? -Berto? He retired out of the best welter division since late nineties and early eighties and what's anyone gonna do? It was a brilliant move by the Mayweathers. :deal

    I have to somewhat agree. I'm not sold on Floyd either, at least not at welterweight. His resume is pretty weak all things considered, and he still hasn't been thorughly tested.

    Mosley should have been the guy to give him the toughest fight of his career but it came way too late. Floyd just needs to fight Pacquiao now to erase all doubt.

    u could have been a little more subtle but i somewhat agree about not fighting the best at certain points of his career. he basically waited for people to beat each other or get a little older. but still a great fighter.
