Mayweather v. Margarito: The Fight I Want To See

If DLH couldn't beat a blown up Mayweather at 154 before he even matured into 147, with 17pds on him at fight night, with a better known trainer, and faster hand speed. Then how the hell is Margo gonna beat Mayweather at 147.

Just think of it like this. One of Mayweathers best atributes is the fact that he can see punches coming before they come plus has the foot work and reflexes to counter or disappear. Margarito is one of the slowest punches at welter weight and has absolutly no defense.

Sure Margo won't get knocked down or nothing, but Mayweather would post up career punching percentages in a boring one sided fight.

 

Two toxic fighters going at it? That fight would NOT sell. Most of PBF's buys are people wanting to see him get KTFO. The public could not support Margo, already sick of PBF, no reason to buy it.

 

Mayweather typically does not fight damaged goods fighters. I see pac fighting margocheato long before PBF ever does

 

Margacheato would get outboxed for 12 rounds. He's slow, has a shitty defense, and has crappy footwork....You REALLY think he has any chance at all? lol

 

Like i posted in the marg pac thread. Marg needs to get a few more under his belt before money or pac. Didnt look that great in his comeback fight imo.

He'd either get pot-shotted to death or- if Margarito showed real technical improvement and good conditioning- an interesting matchup where he is not deterred in the slightest and tries to relentlessly break Mayweather down physically round after round.

 

Mayweather rolls over this clown.

 

Mayweather - Margarito would be pointless. Floyd would not be interested because there's no money in it, and he gains nothing by beating Margo. Margarito can't beat Floyd anyway. He's just too open and slow, and Floyd not to take him apart.

 

He gains $$$$ if he fights and beats Marg. That is more than enough to get Floyd in the ring. Plus Marg would be a good exciting fight for the fans. I don't see Floyd loosing...never have. But Marg is a top WW and Floyd is the top dog in this division. Why not fight the best in your division.

Of course the illegal wraps issue is still very much a sore point for many fans and I understand that. For me personally I don't think there's much evidence to say conclusively that Marg had plaster. If he did and he was caught beyond a reasonable doubt he should and would have been banned for life.

 

PBF beats him easily. Margarito is very very limited and I have no idea why people rate him so highly. Mayweather would make him look very very stupid.

Other than Pac, there is no bigger purse for FLoyd right now. A lot more lucrative and safer than moving up to fight Williams/Martinez:deal
