Yeah Cowdell was a good fighter and lived not far from me but Azumah was something else.

Calzaghe was uber-beef. Beyond even the best fillet steak you could ever imagine. Therefore, he is beyond comparison in this thread. So purely for the fun factor:

    Lennox Lewis vs Michael Grant

So was Sanchez but Cowdell performed admirably there. I think he just got caught cold against Azumah, though I don't think he would've won anyway.

it has been quite a while since i have watched sanchez vs cowdell but i thought sanchez won quite clearly, i thought cowdell was to defensive and did not score enough points in most rounds

To go slightly off topic i always wondered whither B-Hop was referencing that fight when he said he'd never lose to a white boy and if so what his point was . B-Hop seems like a guy who who has a lot of knowledge of the sport and would certainly be old enough to remember the "No black man is going to take my title" comment and the post fight riot . I wonder if his idea was to say that and unlike Minter to prove his point . If so like minter he lost and made himself look stupid and racist .

Cowdell walked onto the perfect punch, he was certainly good enough to be in the ring with Nelson.

    Bruno v Chuck Gardner.
