Do you think there will be any knockdowns in Kessler V Calzaghe?

These guys really do underestimate Calzaghes chin. Let the games begin.

No I doubt it. Kesslers fighting style is very basic and most all champions have alot of experience with that specific straigh punching style. To KD Calzaghe or any other top level contender you have to throw punches at odd angels. Your punches have to have a level of surprize, Kessler doesnt have that.

Saw an american magazine talking about Calzaghe being Kesslers Lacy, they theorized that Joe´s latest opponents and, more important, the way he handled them. They see a midiocre fighter who catapulted into p4p based on one fight. Lacy.

If Kessler beats the **** out of joe, as I seriously expects, then Kessler will inherit all the fame and glory from joe, and leave joe with a huge questionmark as to the legitimacy of his career.

No. If anybody it would be Calzag getting caught early.

Calzaghe will go down - in the ring and then on his male life partner later than night.

He wasn't questioning whether or not Calzaghe could be floored with 1 punch he was simply stating the fact that it would take an unorthodox punch from an unseen angle to catch Calzaghe by suprise and then drop him. Something Kessler is unlikely to do as his punches are very orthodox. The punch from Byron Mitchell would be a good example of this, a flush uppercut/hook which caught Calzaghe by complete suprise at a weird angle and even that vicious punch was shaken off in a second or two.

no one has mentioned kessler getting cut.

calzaghe inside of the glove punches do tend to cut fighters if he lands enough and kessler has never been hit hardly at all in his career .

saying this , kessler had a nosebleed v andrade and unlike some fighters the sight of his own blood , did not worry him and he carried on untroubled.

if calzaghe walks onto one , he could go down, but if he sees them coming and the right lands , i think he will take it.

most likely punch to knock kessler down will be a left or right uppercut.
