Hell is wrong with jermain taylor

He wont get back to the top, he is too old now.

I'm a fan of Jermaine Taylor, he seems a nice guy and had some nice boxer-puncher skills. He was more of an athlete than a fighter, and lacked that desire. He would get up from KD's and overcome adversity but then he would coast rather than try and get the bull by the horns.

The main thing lacking in Taylor is very ironic, he lacked 'Bad Intentions' this stems from him being more of an athlete than a fighter, he could outbox you and hurt you but he never really looked to finish fights.

Taylor is done. His confidence is gone, he´s gunshy and doesn´t have the right mindset anymore. Even as early as against Winky you could see he´s slipping.

 

Better for him I think. I hope he doesn´t he may endanger his health.

I always had tons of respect for him. Always took on the best and didn´t duck anyone. He may go donw as one of the weaker champs at mw but at least he was champ and not just a beltholder.

 

Yeah, in that sense, I think you're there. Jermain is a classic forum topic from now on. :-( I like him but I don't see him doing much from here on out. I'd be happy to be wrong though.

 

Thanks, I liked Taylor as a fighter, although I thought he lost to Hopkins in the rematch aswell as losing to Wright, but I did like him, bit of a shame he wasnt a fighter IMO.

No. He's done at the top level.

 

Taylors problems is his techique and lack of relaxation in the ring, hes far too tense and runs out of gas quick, alongside a poor defense. He had excellent athleticism and ofcourse used to be a 400m runner.

Anyway Taylor has managed to do what few have done, gone 2-0 against Hopkins to become the MW Linear champion

In hindsight, I think it's fair to say many jumped the gun with him after he held his own in a couple of staring contests with Bernard Hopkins.

Nice little insight into Jermaine Taylor, must have brought you along sparring such a high-calibre of fighter.

Definitly, being proclaimed the 'New Superstar' and stuff like that, eerily similar to how Pavlik was healded for beating Taylor.
