I picked 1 simply based on his last victory (a knockout against another arguably top 10 p4p fighter) was much more impressive than either Fedor, GSP, Silva's and Penn's last outings.

Roger's although a top 10 heavyweight isn't the toughest challenge in the division, unlike Machida who many considered the best in a stacked division. Shogun handled Machida a lot easier than Fedor beat Roger's in a gruelling bout.

GSP was unable to finish a clearly out classed mid level fighter in his last outing in Dan Hardy.

Silva'a refusal to fight and his antics may be a sign of domination to some, but in the end, like GSP, he failed to finish a clearly outclassed opponent.

Penn loses his title in a shaky but close performance to Edgar.

That is absolute insanity !!!!!!!! , Shogun just fought a guy for 6 rounds won 4 of them imo and scored a KO too , who nobody else in the division could land a meaningfull shot on , and he ranks below BJ ????? GTFOH !!!!!!

Man i love BJ but come on , the guy is not better than Shogun P4P , not in a life time , i have Shogun sitting 4th behind , Silva , GSP & Fedor ........

Like i said earlier.. Bj has dominated his division before losing to edgar. Shogun on the other hand just won the title. Shogun could defenitely become # 1 P4P in the future but i can't just put him above bj after only 1 win.

Go check out Shogun as a baby in pride blitzing his way through that division too , back then Shogun was considered P4P #1 , there is no in the future with Shogun he's been there and has been ranked #1 before , and nobody could argue with Shogun sitting at the top right now , i dont think Penn ranks with the top 5 P4P i really dont , i love the guy but he's not as good P4P as the Silva , GSP , Aldo , Fedor , Shoguns of the world ......

I know what shogun did in pride. I have many pride fc dvd including the grand prix 2005 i think when he won it all. But he has struggled since coming to ufc. He loss to forrest, beat old coleman and liddell before finally showing the world that he is back against both machida fight.

Let's see if he can dominate the light heavyweight division first. The last 4 champions has not defended the title more than once since becoming a champion.
