The most annoying, irritating thing is that nothing will be said about it all. Any other sport, there would be all sorts of protests and enquiries. If it was racing, Parris would be lucky to escaope going to court. It's about time Boxing News started saying something about this joker because he is single-handedly making British boxing an embarassment.
Got to say; I really hope we aren't all slagging him off this time tomorrow, but i can see it happening. Although if he gives any favours it will be Mitchell's gain, i want a fair fight and to (hopefully) see Mitchell win cleanly.
2010 has been an especially poor year for him. He's always been **** and dodgy for British fighters in international fights but he's taken to completely cocking up all our domestic action too. It's a bit ridiculous at the moment, every week you tune in expecting a dodgy card from Parris, its not even the exception its the norm.
True, I don't rate many of our officials. Not many of them actually inspire me with any confidence that they'll see a close but clear fight the right way unanimously. Especially when I see ESPN Friday fight nights where the judging is USUALLY spot on, even if its not the home fighter that won they'll turn in a fair card. Parris is easily the worst at the moment. What I don't understand is that unlike any other job, part time or not, they don't seem to be accountable at all.
