I think Duran would even possibly tko Kelly in the 11th or 12th of a 15 rounder. He would dominate Pavlik from the 3rd round on and feint him into "bolivian"..Duran would have busted him up...scoring a knockdown over a bloodied Pavlik before Kelly's own corner stopped it between rounds. A broken nose for a flustered, bloodied and outgunned Kelly may have been a possibility.

 

Pavlik only has size, Duran devours fighters with his stylistic attributes and weaknesses in terms of talent. You decide.

haha, true. either way pavlik is getting stomped (cue Boo coming in here talking about how duran struggled with one dimensional fighters who only utilized the 1-2)

 

I think the Duran that fought Barkley would beat Pavlik too, but not too easily.Pavliks general size, reach and minimalist striaght punching style will keep him in it until the frustration at missing and counters start to get to him.

Duran circa Moore and Hagler would likely have that extra notch of speed and reflexes to win wider.

 

Duran. He was quite multi-dimensional up at middleweight, although slower and less athletic than he was in his prime.
