Lately this has been something that has been bothering me during my sparring sessions. When I duck or bob & weave my opponents punches my headgear seems to be in the way of my vision so that I cannot see my opponents face or gloves for that matter, which results in me being off with my counters afterwards or in some cases getting hit with another punch. I've tried looking up but feel a bit insecure sticking my chin out there. Does anyone have any tips for this. Thanks:bbb
What's the point in sparring lightly without headgear when, in competition, you and your opponent are going as hard as you can with headgear on?
Don't move your upper body down much when you're rolling under or what not. Stay in your basic stance, with your eyes on your opponent, and use your legs to get lower, bend at the knees. That should help you be able to still see your oppobnent. And keep your hands up.
You might be looking down a little bit too when you dodge punches. since the top of the headgear protrudes a bit off your forehead, looking down can mess up your vision.
no... we have to get use 2 the weight of 16 oz gloves and the bulkyness of hearguards.. just saying u will get use 2 it eventully and DONT put ur head up
try to adjust the headgear or maybe buying another headgear...i haven't used one in a VERY long time, talking over 5 years probably if i ever even did thinking about it now...but neways............i don't have a lot of experience but that's the only advice i could come up w/ trying to help. hope it does
