Mayweather and Mosely being 2 & 3 was stupid anyway. It made no sense. You're right Mayweather chose to fight a person that jumped up two weight divisions and it was HIS FIRST time at that weight. Then BAM, that fight vaulted him to # 2. LOL!!! A ****ing joke!!! Next, we come to Mosely a totally different conundrum all by itself. There needs to be a time limit on how long a person can be on anybody's list. Mosely didn't fight for 17 months and how he kept his #3 status was SHOULD have raised alarm bells.
