Ike Quartey would be a good quality champion today, but not a standout. If you're going to talk about great welters of the past, Ike Quartey would not come to most people's minds. You're better off mentioning Leonard, Hearns, or even Oscar De La Hoya (I heard he was pretty good). :yep

Edit: I noticed you meant B level. No, Quartey is no better than todays champs. Margarito, Mayweather, Cotto, Pac, Mosley could beat him any given day.

 

Eh.... None. It takes an A level anything to reach the top spot in your trade, u dont fluke it. Its amazing to become no1 at anything in the world let alone combat. All true champs are a level fighters. I hate those terms a level and b level. We dont call ray allen a B level nba player do we?? But hes the 20 th best guard right now, yet with boxing we call the 4th best boxer in a division B level?!? We re the only sport that not only disses the contenders but even the champs- daily. No wonder these guys dont wanna fight each other- theyll be persecutrd as b levels- thats why everyones prtecting their recird these dqys. Its some bull**** that needs to change in boxing culture.
