Mitchell lost that fight tonight due to the hand injury he suffered a year ago.During that time out of the ring he put on weight which he found hard to shift. He is not a natural lightweight and should be fighting at super featherweight,im not knocking Katsidis, the guy is a warrior and a class act and if more boxers had his attitude the sport would be better off but Kev should never have been in the same ring as him,Mitchell needs to get the weight off and drop back to sfw in order to be competitve and im sure he could be a world champion at that weight - im sorry for making another thread on this but im really frustrated after tonights fight ~ any thoughts ??
He dose'nt look lean body wise... He looks lean in the face, but his body just looks ****. I think Mitchell could of still won the fight, if he would of survived that round. Any fighter can be hurt with bombs, Mitchell fought a good fight for two rounds..!!
he seemes to want to test his chin in round 2, why? he neeeded to pull that guy late to really stand a chance. really upset me when he lost! degale with a real trainer could be the bollocks.
yeah he couldve won the fight, but only on points like the prescott fight,he doesn't carry the power to lightweight, hes never been completely ripped like kats was tonight,i just feel hes much better off at super feather where he can knock people out and not have to go to the scorecards every fight
I was thinking the same thing. In fact I think he was even finding it hard to make the lightweight limit. Anytime a fighter weighs in with a towel on first attempt. You know he's been trying to shed someweight prior. He needs to get himself a nutrienist & strength and conditioning coach. Maybe work with the guy that Hatton used to work with. Kerry I think
He looks small compared to the last 2/3 fighters he's fought. Prescott was taller and Katsidis was just broader. I agree I think he's not a natural at the weight, but he can still do the business. Lets see him fight Murray and then maybe the winner can be another contender for a world title someday.
