I watched the fight yesterday, and it happened the way it was supposed to happened, I also didn't think Khan would KO Paulie, and I really don't count TKO's based on one person losing the fight and the ref saying no more because the other guys has no clear chance of winning. I count the old school TKO's when the Ref or corner stops it cause the other guy looks like he can really get hurt if somebody doesn't stop it asap, You know like Mosley v Magarito.

Anyway Paulie has been winning fights with his pillow fist because he had an iron chin, heart and was usually faster than his opponents.
Being Khan is one of the fastest fighters in the world paulie didn't have his usual speed advantage.

Khan will look good and stay busy because Paulie didn't have the power to make khan pay for mistakes. the more punches you throw, and the more aggression you use the more likely you will make a mistake, but if the other fight doesn't have the power to make you pay for a mistake so you never have worry about tcounters then you just gonna do what you want.

I'm not taken away from Khan's victory, I'm just saying Freddie sure no's how to pick his victims. I gotta give Khan credit for setting up a potential JR 4 man tourney, it shows he's not ducking anybody, but he better not take the wrong tune up, say....... Zab Judah

Cause Zab might be a bust in later rounds but , if that hard hitting mother****er connects on khan early like he does most of his opponents ( Mayweather, Cotto...) it would be a short night for the soft chin Khan.

I don't think Freddie would let it happened anyway, he picks his fighters opponents wisely, by the way I see Khan beating Madiana by just straight outboxing him and never allowing him to land anything big.

tl;dr, I want to see him against Alexander, Alexander is a slickster who has serious pop. I want to see if Khan can withstand the kind of punching that Alexander can bring.

Last nights fight doesn't tell you a whole lot about khan. Paulie simply isn't that good. It will be his next two fights that will be interesting. Depending on who he fights of course.

Last night did tell us a bit about how Khan handles a quick, counter puncher.

Most of Khan's opponents have been flat footed, slow punching boxers. With Alexander who's a good counter puncher and Bradley who is decent at counter punching it gave us a bit of insight into if Khan can handle quick, counter punchers and gave us a bit of an inkling into how Khan may fare against Alexander and Bradley.

It doesn't tell the whole story mind, but it is good to see that Khan wasn't completely clueless against a fighter with a half decent brain and didn't get out classed and made to look like a novice.

if he beats maidana for me he is worth the hype as he is a quick technical boxer with explosive combinations

it will silence a lot of critics and change my opinion. khan wins a fight that was picked for him and was certain to win no suprise. stopping maidana will back up khans hype and end a few debates...:good

Khan has a very good jab but he is still sloppy but will be in entertaining fights, i dont think hes any more hyped than alexander or bradley for that matter

dud how many times has Khan been down already in his young career? and now they are avoiding anyone with any power.. Pauli is a prime example of that. Khan is good but his chin is at best suspect.

I dont agree that Khan has a weak chin. The kid has only been down once(true he stayed down) But lets face it. That punch that got through would have dropped most fighters. He got caught with lucky punch Just like Lewis did against Raquman(spelling). I mean really guys this kid looks for real. If Roach can tune him up some more and get him a couple more wins against tough fighters I think he could have a shot against Pretty Boy. Looks like Roach is turnin him into a Pacman protige. They looked alot alike last night. The Speed, The accuracy, the foot work, and as for his power, well Malignaggi is a tough dude with a great chin. So all and all I think the future is bright for Khan.:

Correction -When i said he has been down once I meant KOd. True he has been down before but not really hurt(except once) I think it has more to do with his defense, and Roach will or has fixed that.

Atleast I hope he doesnt have a glass jaw cause that would be such a waste. I really think this guy has what it takes. He reminded me of a quicker DelaHoya.
