maidana is always mentioned along with bradley and alexander in the 140 division! I dont really get the hype. Hes a big puncher but he can be outboxed by a lot of the top fighters. As was the case with kotelnik.

With his huge punch he always has a shot at winning but i feel the top guys in the division are on a different level to him.

Bradley alexander and maybe even khan would easily beat him (if khan can stay away from maidanas huge blows)

if khan fought him he will either get knocked out or outbox him and make him look stupid for 12 rounds.
Having said that with khans chin this would be a very intriguing fight and dangerous for khan.

I wouldn't say Kotelnik outboxed Maidana. Kotelnik got busted up and won a disputed decision many (myself included) had him losing.

Maidana is the type of guy who looks like he could be out boxed, then out of no where WHAM!! Maidana could punch! He could knock out any junior welter in the world on any given night!!

I think what the TS is saying khan outboxed kotelnik for pretty much 12 rounds ... so Khan should do the same if not more to maidana :think :p
    but well....

Did you see the fight bro?

Maidana got jobbed in that fight.

I could see a scorecard for Kotelnik but you'd have to be reaching for him to do so.

Had that fight a draw, but I often like classier boxing to brute punching in my scoring.

The fight was a borderline gift to Kotelnik. Maidana's first fight against a top class operator, first step up, and he arguable one. Has looked better in every fight since.

    Irrelevant.

    Here's the fuzzy math...

    Kotelnik = Maidana and...

    Khan > Kotelnik, therefore...

    Khan is > Maidana

    :)

Kotelnik took some bombs though. Khan wouldn't take those bombs that Kotelnik took. Also, Kotelnik scraped by the skin of his teeth to beat Maidana.

Maidana won that fight, i scored it 116-112, Kotelnik fight only last 10 seconds of the rounds.
it was like Manny vs Clottey, Kotelnik maybe little more active tha Clottey.
but no way he won that fight.
