This is like the Tszyu / Vince Phillips situation.
I say Khan does the same thing as Tszyu and avoids him.
There's no point to this fight other than Khan being able to say he reversed a loss vs a bum who got lucky the first time. If Prescott wants fans to demand the fight he has to prove he is worthy of it with some good wins.

I don't think the Khan people are willing to put their guy in the ring with Prescott again, at least not in the foreseeable future. I hope they do though. Now is the time to make this rematch happen. They both just fought on the same day. Khan needs to avenge this stain on his career. A first round KO loss is bad for any career, especially one as potentially bright as Amir Khan's.

If you didn't know, Prescott has lost 2 since you dumb fool. Khan is lightyears ahead of Prescott and doesn't have to give him a rematch for ****!

Khan has won a world title and defended it twice.
    What's Prescott done?

    Lmao. What a fool

Your example is a good one, however that's exactly the reason the fight needs to be made. Unfortunately for Tszyu (where most sensible people believe Phillips did get lucky as he went on to do little from that point), many people still criticise Tszyu for not seeking a rematch and winning - trying to win in dominant fashion to erase the negativity of that loss.
Khan only needs to look at how many people still bring up that black mark against Tsyzu, without it, he would be seen as for all intents and purposes "unbeaten" in his prime.
Unless and Untill Khan does that he will suffer the same fate.

This fight would actually be a perfect stay busy fight for Khan that he seems to be seeking shortly, and would be safer whilst drawing more interest than a Katsidis match.

Khan will gain absolutely nothing by beating him. The people that are calling for this fight to take place, will be the very same people who will say “Prescott was awful to begin with, and already lost back to back fights”. It’s a no win situation, one that he needn’t bother with. He’s aiming to fight Maidana, a guy in a similar mould to Prescott, but twice as good.

And what better way to prepare for a fight with Maidana, and at the same time avenge that embarassing loss?

Even though this fight is meaningless for belts or beating an elite fighter, it would do wonders for Khan's legacy and shut critics like myself up. I would have more respect if he rematched Prescott and won, then fighting Katsidis and winning.

There's talk of Khan fighting Katsidis at 140 in July instead.:-(

LOL at the 'nothing to gain from avenging his loss'. Khan fans are shitting this fight, but in reality he should be able to box smart and win a UD, Khan should try to avenge his loss like a man. If he fights Bradley/Alexander/Maidana instead then no problem, but why not fit this 1 in for July before Ramadan?
