Prime Lennox v Prime Haye

People forget how good prime Lewis was when he came in shape against a threatening opponent. Lewis was **** when he wasn't in shape or didn't take his opponent seriously. Grant, Golota, Ruddock, Holyfield etc Lewis gets medieval on them.

 

As a side point......

I rate GSP as possibly the P4P number one fighter on the planet.

 

Silva whoops his ass, i dont see him getting Silva down, and he's shown against Serra he's very chinny, and Silva at some point is gonna land on him, cos he's not got the best defence.

But Bernard Hopkins' worst nightware aside, I see Lewis taking the win against Haye, I think he's fitter and would outlast the Hayemaker. OF course Haye has a punchers chance.

But I'd put my house on Lennox knocking him out.

Lewis would stop Wlad inside 4 rounds, even todays version IMO.

When Lewis was motivated for a top level opponent he always delivered in the ring. The bigger the better.

 

I am inclined to agree. He always seemed more motivated when there was a higher perceived threat.

 

before the ruiz fight I would have said haye wins by sneaky right hands in a boring, inactive fight due to haye staying away from lennox.

now i say lewis wins in a devastatingly brutal knockout win.

i really dont like hayes style now. he seems to waste a lot of punches and a lot of energy in the process. i cant see him beating wlad neither. i think his best bet would be vitali.

 

hayes a cool guy but i see lennox knocking him out as soon as that right hand hits, hayes said it himself he'll never be better then lewis

 

I'dsay Lewis would control him with the jab for a couple of rounds and then go for the stoppage when he'd figured him out. 3rd or 4th round ko.
I predict more or less the same if Haye fights Wlad (and I'm speaking as someone who would want Haye to win, I like Haye, I'm just realistic) but I think it would take Wlad a little longer to open up. Lewis has a better boxing brain than WK imo and he certainly has more balls (at least one more).

Haye has not hit his prime yet... It is hard to compare both fighters...:yep

Haye is a fighter who has moved up from Cruiserweight to Heavyweight, he is always giving a lot of his opponents a weight advantage handicap because of this...:yep

It's very difficult to say who would have done who in their prime as they Heavyweight Division is a one punch Division and whoever usually gets the big guns off first wins...:yep

A tough one but my money is on Haye with a similar performance to the one against Valuev, but I think he tags Lewis late for a TKO...:deal
