Bernard Hopkins, Clifford Ettiene, George Khalid Jones, Jeff Fenech (Boys town), Vasman, Mike Tyson ( boys town),
Many others have done time. Sort of a career boot camp to sharpen the skills.

I went to NZ with work a month or so ago. The whole Aussie League side were on the plane with me, going out for the centenery test. Watching Willie trying to get into the shitty tiny 737 seats was ****nig funny.

When we landed they gave all the players a full going over with the sniffer dogs, full bag checks and all that ****. Then they tried to get their autographs.

Ultimately though, let the boxers box and the footy players play footy.

That is the worst ****en post that I've read on here for a while.Your comment "most pro boxers these days learn to fight in prison" is not only a ridiculous, sweeping generalisation but a complete loada ****.You tell me,out of the top 10 fighters p4p today how many learnt their craft inside. In fact you go through the top 10 in every single division and I bet you'd be hard pressed finding many.As for "league stars bring dignity to the sport" that's comin on a bit strong isn't it?In a country where the footy codes rule, league stars bring publicity to the sport more than anything else.

All of the guys you mentioned learnt there craft outside of jail primarily, apart from Ettiene who got KTFO by Tyson in 29 seconds, as the highlight of his career. Classic example of you talking ****.

I think mine was an awesome post.
Not only do most boxers learn their craft in prison, here are several boxing legends who should be in prison as we speak.
    1. Floyd (for beating his wife)
    2. Fenech (to be lose with the term legend; for myriad of crimes)
    3. Tyson (the less said the better)
    4. Katsidis (for crimes of the past)
    5. the Waters brothers (mmm)

The waters brothers? i know that the big one shot a bloke but there was a story behind that, 20 years of brainwashing will do that to someone i dont think he had a choice..but what did troy and guy do...

and katsidis smashed a blokes jaw because he pissed on his car, if someone pissed on my car id be more inclined to ironbar them, so that poor bugger shouldnt have gone to jail

And who can forget the torroist Elomar brothers. Didn't they play a key role in the Spain rail disaster or something?
