Tell em Flea...Tell Em!!! As for fight with Katsidis..Khan would need to make quick damage on Katsidis..Hit him hard and fast early doors...otherwise he's in big trouble because i still don't think he's disciplined enough defensively under aggressive pressure to not be hit and hurt by Katsidis. Even though Kats is a beast at 135lbs i still expect him to carry a dig at 140.
Yeah i don't think Jose liked the messing about...he have to get used to that in boxing he will come up against guys who clown about although i must admit if your sparring...you wanna be all bussiness. Pacquiao just having fun in there...ate a few nice shots off the lad..but it weren't what i call intense. I can see why he's whopping Khan...got a long reach...just like a certain Colombian had.
I really dont think Katsidas should be regarded by Team Khan as a tune-up. Could Khan handle his pressure and does Khan have the power to keep him at bay?
Early Yes i think he could use his blitz style attack that he uses to stun opponents. But if he doesn't do job early then he's in for long hard night. I think under severe pressure he will revert back to type..become ragged and get caught and hurt and have to survive on instincts alone.
I know its boring to bring this up but it all depends on how Khan handles getting hit by Kats. Will say, first time i've been impressed with Khan his last time out.
Khan takes this. Kats looked good against Mitchell, but Khan is simply just a whole lot better. Khan won't let him do what he did to Mitchell. His jab is something else, he pretty much TKO'd Paulie with it. It's a stiff, quick, long jab which would mess Kats up. He has good, quick footwork which will see him out of trouble as well. Only chance Kats has is to catch him late on, that is if the fight goes that far. Khan TKO in 6-8.
Kats was all over the place early against an old Casa. I think if Kats comes in trying to land something big early he might end up picking himself off the deck. Khan should try countering early in this fight to make Kats a bit gun shy. Hopefully the fight comes off would set Khan up for any sort of pressure fighter.
Kahns strategy will be as simple as trying to keep Kats on the end of a jab and cautiously see what openings follow from that.
Khan wins this via wide UD. Why? Massive reach and speed advantages. Katsidis doesn't have concussive power and I can't see him bringing much more to the table with an extra 5 pounds; this is a case where extra weight is detrimental to a given fighter as Kats is a natural 135lbr. Katsidis has gone from being massively underrated to some kind of monster almost overnight and his new fans need to put the Mitchell win into perspective.
I'd say that will be his strategy from here on, instead of trying to go to war like he used to before. Will work well most of the time, he's got the size and the speed advantage over the rest of em. It's a question of who in the division can get inside and land and how will he react to that.
I love watching Katsidis but my money would be on Khan. He's a lot bigger, faster hands, better jab and better angles. But the fact he's also vulnerable makes this a *******.
