anyone interested in hopkins vs james toney now?

15 years ago it would have great.
2003 for Toneys IBF CW belt would have also been great.

Today it would be a real snoozer. Both guys should simply retire.

In 2003 Hopkins was a middleweight, jumping 40lb in one fight seems unlikely

 

hopkins is almost done, when the last time he KO'd his opponent? against calzaghe and jones he's acting like idiot... another fight from him, you could expect another boring fight without any killing punch with some hollywood act thrown in.

 

I don't think Slapzaghe raped Bhop he won a very disputed split decision-it could've went either way. If Bernard hadn't made the "whiteboy" statement he probably would've gotten the decision. Also, James Toney grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan-home of the University of Michigan, there isn't an area of that town that would be considered tough. It is one of the most tree hugging towns in the entire state of Michigan. Toney often claims Detroit, but he's really from Ann Arbor.

 

Much like Hopkins - Jones, this would be a farce.
