That kind of logic doesn't really work in boxing.

If so and so could do this imagine what that other guy will do. Its a shortcut to a prediction and usually wrong.

Of course and I respect your opinion although I have a hard time agreeing that....Corrales, Judah and that version of Shane would have beaten Manny? Thats like me saying at 130 EM, MAB and JMM would have ****ed Floyd up....

Good perspective...:good Now that Manny is at WW where there are MORE AMERICAN FIGHTERS that meet the "qualifications" of a "slick black fighter" we'll see Manny fight one or two.

The problem with the request to have Manny fight Slick black American fighters is that at the lower weights they just aren't there. 122 thru 130 most of the fighters that are DOMINATING are not US fighters at all....they are from MX, PR, PI, different parts of Asia ect.

So people who Bash on Manny for NOT having a black fighter they approve is only highlighting their lack of knowledge about the different dynamics of the lower weight classes.

this style gives him trouble based on what? he's never faced one right? you're reaching here.

manny has never faced a straight up and down european fighter with a punishing jab, so i'm gonna reach and say he struggles against that style.

i love some of the 'slick' fighters being named in this thread. berto, williams, bradley.

He can but his legacy will have a question mark next to it. Because he never faced atleast one elite African American fighter in a sport with a rich history of African American fighters, especially now when their some around his weight that he can fight.

I dont think he all that my man..i mean he is a top 50 atg..but he sure as hell see's something in floyds game that he is gonna need time to prepare for..

his team said they didnt wanna fight floyd in march cuz it was too soon and they needed more time to prepare..

floyd on the other hand was ready to go in march ....pac used the drug test as a way out of the fight

Pac is lucky that this whole drug testing thing is actually being fought over. One day they will be able to test for everything with a safe test. PAc is ****ing lucky right now lol...

When you say "we" I assume that you are also African-American, which makes me think this is a troll thread. Yuri Foreman is somewhat of a slick boxer and he's Jewish. Nate Campbell isnt a slick boxer, Shane Mosley isnt a slick boxer, just to name a couple. Are they not African-American? This is boxing, its a business just like any other sport. You fight the best you have available to you. The fights that will give you th emost notoriety when coming up, then the fights that will give you the most money while you're on top. When Manny was coming up, he fought the best available to him and the biggest names. Morales, MAB, Marquez etc. He didnt fight Raheem when he beat Morales because Raheem is a **** draw. There were already plans in place and bigger money in a rematch with Morales. Also Morales beat him the first time.

If you're gonna make a statement like this you have to look at the facts and not through a biased scope. It would be great if boxers would fight everyone you want them to fight and prove to YOU whatever you want them too. Unfortunately it doesnt work that way. There are only so many people they can fight. You have to pick the best thats available. Devon Alexander is not the best thats available right now, Bradley is ok...definitely not a slick boxer, but he's also at 140. Mayweather seems to be the best option right now. Hopefully they can agree on everything and the fight will go through.

Even though its pointless to argue with someone like you, because you have such a skewed view of reality and your perceptions fit your own personal agenda,.
