Ive been to two amatuer events in chester and southport and Smith Vs Dodson and Katsidis Vs Mitchell. Fight wise Chester and Southport were good, Mitchell and Katsidis was a good show but the fights were poor considering I travelled from Liverpool
3, all with Froch, against Dodson, Pascal and Dirrell. Pascal was the best, because it was an awesome fight and I was front row ringside for it. Dirrell was the worst.
Was back in 2009 at the Prince of Wales Hotel http://www.formbytimes.co.uk/formby...events-night-later-this-month-66401-22844454/
been to around 30-35 shows best was my 1st show mathews v simpson and the worst was gomez v alexander
about 10. Worst was Hatton v Oliveira, almost kicked off when the Hatton lemmings couldn't handle someone cheering for old, tired Ray. Overall a typically boring Hatton fight. I only went as a mate had free tickets. Best was Gorres v Darchinyan in Cebu and Chi v Rudi Lopez in Seoul, shame Chi hasn't fought in boxing since. Last I heard he was moving to K1 as he wasn't making any cash in boxing. The cards weren't anything special but there weren't any braindead idiots there and the general atmosphere was quality.
Not sure how many I have been to exactly. I have not been as often as I would like recently but had a period last year and the year before where I was going to 2/3 a month....mainly small hall shows but a few bigger events.
Phew quite a few ! ... Calzxaghe v Kessler arguably the biggest but the most memorable and best was Rendall Munroe beating Kiko Martinez at the Harvey hadden Stadium which was my old sharking ground when it was harveys bar night club as well as alot of memories of nottingham greyhounds... and needless to say I am a huge fan of Rendall and had a wedge of cash on him winning !
67 live boxing shows from naz to froch, go once a month to the white collar abc dinner fights, Best fight was hatton v thaxton or froch v pascal. Worst was Skelton v Sprott, nearly turned me off boxing for life that fight...
