I can care less about him cheating on his wife. I am talking about his shady business practices that have killed this fight.

You haven't put forth anything to analyze. Please do so. People who hold your position never do. "FMJ doesn't want the fight because he won't accept 14 days." You gloss over every thing that happened that got us to this point!

I tried to help and gave you a rational list of what has brought us to this point, per my understanding, and presented it to you to refute or challenge. You choose never to address FACTS to just say, "I am right." Let us deal in the FACTS and/or reasonable conclusions based on said facts. Can you do that?

My ego is not connected to this argument. I will happily cede any reasonable point you make. Thing is... You won't make one.

I notice you have yet to provide any substantiation for your position.

I don't mind making fun of these cats on here but, since you want to make it personal, you're welcome to actually prove your points.

But I think you're more about posturing than proof.

    1. Of those who switched off of Floyd and didn't recognize him when he returned, many are returning to Floyd as the best, which he is.

    2. In Floyd's mind, he never lost that distinction. I agree. He's the best and that's what it means. Regardless of a short retirement, he's still the best.

    3. Like it or not, money is the significant determining factor in negotiations.

    4. That's not going to enter into negotiations. Unless it translates into dollars and cents, it doesn't help in any material way.

    5. Not at all. Neither guy needs the guy more than the other way around. They're both set financially and have great careers. That's nonsense talk to suggest one needs the other more than the other way around. If they want the most money, the most everything, they need each other equally.

    6. Boxing has always been a business. I'm not sure what you mean about it being a "sport". Lots of things are sports that are businesses. Romanticizing the term "sport" doesn't do anything.

    7. Floyd brings in more money. That puts him in chief negotiator position.

Through history, it has not been a matter of just the best fighter getting the most money. It's the guy who brings in the most. That's just the way it is.

You don't have a clear idea of how the business of boxing works. You're talking more like an upset child at having their eyes opened - if only slightly - to the mechanics of something they think shouldn't be that way. It's unclear why it would be shocking to you that the person who brings in the most money would be in control of a negotiation which revolves around money.

People who think there's no difference just because the number is big typically have poor money management skills. There's a big difference between $20 million and $21 million. It's called a million dollars, and it is better to have it than not have it. A few percentage points means serious money on this level. If you think a million dollars is a matter of ego, you don't "get" money.

Your romantic interests have nothing to do with how negotiations in the sport of boxing function. The parallels you've tried to draw are yawn-inducing.

i was afraid floyd would do this tough guy routine. **** that sucks- one of these two guys HAS to meet the other halfway if this is ever going to happen. I get the feeling that both these guys want the fight- but not bad enough to give in . They ll probably both bide their time and wait til one or the other shows weakness before they concede a point to make the fight happen. They both recognise the threat in each other- its mutual. Neither is a ***** , Neither is warrior enough to make it happen for our sakes.

This ****ing sucks. These two guys NEED to fight- and I dont care who s to blame- in my opinion- if it dosent happen- THEYRE BOTH EQUALLY TO BLAME - except the only ones that miss out are us. They re both so smug and secure that they dont give a **** about what we want. we re the only losers and fools in all of this- for following and caring so much about this sport, caring so much to spend days , weeks on sites like this- arguing back and forth for our guys, to make this **** happen. And the end result? just two guys bickering, unable to agree for the sake of millions.

We ve all argued , debated, discussed back and forth for months. .....for what? in the end- all of the threads, debates, dosent mean **** all and win anything or prove anything for either guy or any side. In the end? Its down to these two pricks who wont make this fight happen.

I just want this **** to move on, have a Haye Klit fight or something so we can move on and forget this whole debacle. As a fan , im disgusted and dissappointed more than i couldve imagined. As time goes on- this fight is losing more and more significance- the prime time is RIGHT NOW. not next year, not last year, NOW. When and if it does happen- it wont mean as much- and be as good as if it happened now. so now it looks like we ll never see the great fight at the great time we wanted. Now it ll come with disclaimers im sure.

thats my rant- i m just so ****ing pissed off about this whole thing. Im sure you guys are too- no matter who you support or hate- in the end- its an issue of BOTH these guys being to blame for not willing, not wanting to fight each other enough to compromise.
