No problem. I have both the HBO and Sky Box Office versions and it's interesting to make comparisons. Whereas Merchant and Lampley are just really happy that they are seeing an exciting Heavyweight contest, our guys are forgetting it's just a good fight because they are concerned about Lewis losing his title.
Good upload :good The fights a Heavyweight classic......but not as good as Foreman-Lyle (although the skill levels are higher)
Its funny how two HW fighters that have 'robotic' styles and are considered boring (Lewis did have some GREAT fights but he has had just as many snore fests) are in one of the best HW fights of all time. Great chin and straight shots by Vitali, great right hands landed by Lewis. That Lewis uppercut. My god how Vitali stayed up from that i will never understand, how many HW fighters can take shots like that? Its a shame there is no competition anywere near the level of Lewis for the Klitschkos, we could have seen some great fights!
larry merchant is an annoying ****..lewis shuld have chinned him..the guy asks such stupid questions..wee *****..lol look at the state of his face. :yep
He's still hurtful now due to the awkwardness of his delivery and the weight behind his punches. But he's a nigh on feather fist; he showed some good punching against Lennox, but he's overrated big time in terms of alltime punching power. Not saying you were rating him or nuttin :good
I don't think he's in the real category of big heavyweight hitters. People go overboard about his stoppage statistics and records. It means you punch hard obviously but its not the only factor. He actually can throw 800 punches a fight, being 240lbs that is going to tend to result in late stoppages.
I remember the Five Live commentators, always the sort to make even the dullest jabfest sound like a battle, were making it sound as if Vitali had torn one of Lewis's arms off and was whacking him around the head with it. When I actually saw the fight, I was a bit disappointed! I also clearly remember one of the reporters, after a still pumped-up Lewis had a rant on the mic and refused to give Vitali credit, saying "Oh, see this is why people have never really warmed to Lewis." ****.
