If I'm right, does this mean the US don't have true domestic title, like we have the Lonsdale/EBU?

Correct. The reason for that being they don't have a board for the whole country, like we have the BBBofC.

They still have the NBA, but that was far more prestigious when there was only one World title to fight for.

No alphabet title can be respected. As others have displayed every one of them, from the WBC through to the WBF, is at best flawed and at worse corrupt. Thankfully the belts seem to becoming a side show and the only one that is gaining respect is The Ring title.

I had a quick glance over the IBO rankings the other day and they seem pretty good. Certain big name fighters seem to have a good relationship with them (Lewis, Wlad, Pac, Hatton, Dawson) and the buzz-word on their website is "integrity", so they seem pretty decent, but the problem is a reluctance to accept the proliferation of yet more belts and championships. I really don't know what to think about the whole subject anymore, its all so self defeating, newcomers to the sport must think "WTF!"

Spot on. Green's last two defences (Jones and Siaca) have been at an agreed limit of around 83kg, nowhere near the 90.7kg cruiserweight limit.
