This fight is interesting for many reasons. One is how will both fighters respond after their first career losses. Not all boxers respond well after losing the first time especially if the fight in the early rounds doesn't go their way. This fight will say a lot about both fighters.
Be happy you didn't get banned. Last time it happened to me... their policy is a mystery to me.
You know as stupid as it sounds, if Froch can maintain distance and keep it long, AA might find it difficult to get off, now whether AA will get to him if he gets drawn into a fight is another matter, or whether he can evade AA attacks, when/if AA forces the fight. One things for sure, he will need discipline to make his reach a decisive factor.
AA is the perfect fighter to expose a guy like Froch. Goofy looking aggressive guys are all fun and games till they run up against a guy with legit power and enough ability to land. AA has proven he deals with adversity very well and he has displayed fearsome power.
I'm totally dispelling Froch. I see him being permanently damaged after this fight. Welcome to the Prize Fighter tourney Cobra.
Going into this type of fight with Froch's thinking...He's going to get his ass beat...He doesnt have the footwork, the quick combos nor the hand speed to pull off what Dirrell did...The only thing Froch holds over Dirrell is probably one punch power...Froch needs to come up with another game plan because trying to replicate Dirrell strategy will get him KO'ed. Froch isnt that type of fighter (the boxer that uses movement)
Froch has a serious reach advantage over AA. I believe it is long enough to neutralize whatever speed advantage AA may have. Secondly I think Froch hits as hard as AA. Froch IMO has the power to finish AA anywhere on the planet.
Why do you have to discredit Pavlik in every thread? This one isnt even about him. Ok, he's not the best fighter in the world, move on with your life.
For a long time Sauerland kept tall fighters completely away from Arthur. Even though the Ikeke fight only went 5 rounds, you can look at that scrap, and easily see why. The only guy AA ever fought who had really heavy hands was Miranda. It's a long story, but Sauerland/Abraham flat out ducked Zuniga when he was the rightful mandatory, and fought Elvin Ayala. It would appear that for some reason Sauerland/Abraham spent years avoiding tall guys, or heavy hitters. Froch is tall with heavy hands. On that basis alone I think Froch has something of a chance in this one.
Wasn't Ikeke the favorite going in and supposedly a major threat to Hopkins and P4P stuff back then?, who are you trying to fool really?, newbies? Pavlik is a tall fighter and he was the one staying away for some reason. If they're so scared of taller opponents they wouldn't have moved up in weight to join a tournament packed with no only taller opponents, but ones with serious skill. Even guys out of the tournament in the division are taller and highly skilled. Who are you kidding?
AA has no problems with taller guys...he fought a lot. He has a problem if the taller fighter is also faster than he is and if his opponent then also has great footwork and lateral movement he's in big trouble. Froch has none of these attributes. If AA is not able to win against Froch, he has no business in the tournament.
froch is stronger than AA. Wait and see - Froch doesn't plan to box AA - he's going to pressure him for every second of the fight and try to walk through AA. I believ Froch winn this one...
