Couture, in the manner of his choosing. Most likely ref stoppage while unleashing a ground and pound on Toney's fat head.

Couture by Arm Triangle. Couture takes down just about anyone he wants so trying to take down a guy with possibly 3-4 months of wrestling training will be as easy as wrestling an infant. If Toney gains guard on the way down, Couture will just pass it like butter. Couture has great GNP but knowing Toney's toughness I dont think the punches will bother him awhole lot and I dont even think he gives up his back like most guys do or like Coleman did in Couture's last fight. I think James leaves an arm hanging and its either an armlock (I see Toney refusing to tap) or a arm triangle that puts Toney to sleep. All Randy needs is the 1 takedown and its over theres just no way Toney gets up. And all Toney needs really is one clean punch which can happen.

Both are old, both are past it. One is a vet at this sport. One is newbie to say the least. One trains hard, one doesn't. One has many ways to win, one doesn't.

    Everything points to Couture.

Toney has to come in with a smart strategy, non stop takedown defence, well placed heavy punches etc UNLESS Toney is using his talent, working hard and has taken to grappling brillantly. The old school American Football Toney who weighed 200+ pounds and broke men in half is back and wants to grapple.

It's a big ask for a boxer in his first fight. To be honest, Kimbo would be a big enough ask after what happened to Mercer and the fact he was more experienced.

Couture doesn't submit guys much - he's a ground and pounder - that's his game. He loves to stay in side control or half guard, so he can hold them in place, and pound the **** out of them. He is going to smash Toney's face in for being so cocky, and will pass up any submission possibility.

Yeah but against someone like Toney he could submit him like he submitted Coleman.

Randy via RNC. I just hope he comes out to Stranglehold by Ted Nugent again. The only good thing about the Coleman fight

True Randy rarely submitts but when hes facing a guy with submission defense issues and they basically just give it to him ala Van Arsdale and Coleman then Randy is going to take it. Randy wont just punch and punch just to deliever some kind of beating hes a competitor and wants to win badly and is a smart fighter he doesnt wanna take the risk of Toney surviving off his back in round 1 and getting to start round 2 on his feet although by that point im sure Toney's stamina would be shot do to carrying Randy's weight and dealing with that aggressive wrestling pace.

    I agree with this 100%

Randy will go for the takedown and probably get it too. But, if Toney can catch him with a right hand coming in chances are Randy goes to sleep. I'd say the odds are like 65-35% in Randy's favor. He just has many more options than Toney.

Won't it be funny if say Toney catches Couture with a knee and KO's him? Just as funny as it would be to see Randy knock Toney out with an elbow from the mount.

I know this is a circus sideshow match but it's interesting none the less.

This fight is not getting out of the first round. I will be surprised if it makes it past the first couple minutes.

Couture has solid submission skills in addition to his extensive wrestling background. Couture will also being facing someone that is extremely overweight. Toney does not have the strength to compete at heavyweight. If Couture ever gets the clinch, the fight is over. Toney will be taken down and dealt with quickly.

Toney will have far superior hand speed, and be a more accurate puncher than anyone to step into the octagon. If Couture is hesitant at getting the clinch, Toney could catch him. Toney will have to be able to stop Couture with a few clean punches max. Even if Toney drops Couture with a shot, I just can't see him following Couture down and finishing him without giving Randy a chance to recuperate and take the fight over from there.
