In my experience it never works that way. Your body adjusts to the calorie deficit and the weight loss stops. Then when you go back to normal eating, your now slower body packs on the pounds quickly. Hence yo-yo dieting.

You don't go back to "normal eating" you consume less calories than before, eating healthy food, maintaining your new weight.

Aside from the body using more calories than it takes in, there's no way to lose weight other than dehydration/lipo.

Normally you want to do 1 or 2 cheat days in a week. Keeps your body from getting efficient.

It sounds too simple but just replace most of the food you eat with fruits and veggies (more veg than fruit). Veggies are ridiculously low calorie and fat. If your eating 12 servings of fruits and veggies a day you wont need that much more food, maybe 2 chicken boobs, cereal and a couple sandwiches. This is how I eat and I dont get that hungry plus even though I haven't trained for 2 months Im still ripped and the same weight (162).

Diet is the most important factor and once you get goin with it you'll become a better cook too because its difficult to eat like this by buying pre packaged stuff. Buying a few sauces is essential for variety, the food may stay the same but the taste changes:good

I've lost 20 pounds in four months. I have eaten 2000-2500 calories per day, and 4-5 times a week I have lifted weights and done 20-40 minutes of cardio.

I don't know a lot about exercise physiology but I'm in the gym enough to know what works :good

Its true, eat smart and get to know your body and how it reacts to what and you'll get what you want out of it.

This is where our opinions differ bro . I think hormones are the culprit, rather than just calories. I don't think all fat people eat too much, I just think they eat poorly.

Maybe one day they'll actually do proper studies so that we can have a better idea, rather than the usual 1-2 month trial by biased parties. In the meantime though, everyone's body is different, and when you find what works to you, stick with it :)

That's interesting, because I've always thought the exact opposite lol. It would be nice if they could like...write all this stuff in a book somewhere haha.
