    I agree...

This fight has legendary written all over it, no matter who wins it would greatly improve their legacy... It would improve Pac's more though in my opinion... I would say Pac would be lock top 15 if he were to beat Mayweather. Mayweather would be lock top 25 if he beats Pac in my opinion.

depends. Are the Floyd Fanboys going to give credit to Pacquiao as a fighter?

If Floyd is only as great as his accomplishments and the far leaning fan boys are always saying that Pac sucks and Floyd will handle him easily, then what point would it serve for Floyd to fight him at all? They've downplayed Pacquiao's ability to the point to where they've already took any prestige from Floyd's victory should he beat Manny. If he sucks so bad,why give Floyd credit at all?

Just because some joyboys think pac isn't good doesn't mean the rest of the world does.

I think it'll be easy work not because pac isn't a good fighter, but that his style is made for $.

that's fair enough. but the people that say he sucks are the ones sabotaging the value of Floyd beating Manny before(if) they ever fight.

As long as Pac fought like he didn't look weakened by EXTRA testing, then yes, I'd give Floyd credit for beating a prime Pac.

the people who are likely to give him credit would have already done so by now after he beat the #1 WW in mosley.

Providing the victory was the right decision he would get full credit from myself, as would Pacquiao should the fight go the other way. Both are legitimate welterweights and certainly there is no doubt that they are the two best pound for pound fighters in boxing. Neither is faded, neither has trouble making weight. They will both be considered ATG's post retirement (and this fight, should it take place, will have a large baring on just how highly they rank.)

Beating Pacquiao would be far and away the best win on Mayweather's resume (close or not, so long as it's the right decision.) And vice versa.

Question should be, how much credit should we give to Mayweather if he fights Pacquaio without that random blood test request.

Me thinks he should be in the top 15 ATG right away just for taking the fight without that drug test, regardless whether he beats him or not.:yep

Tons of credit because he would've beaten a prime HOF fighter not aged 35.

Credit from who exactly? Didn't he get a lot of credit for beating Mosley?

Beating Pac will be easily his best win. So saying he won't get no credit for beating Pac is just wrong. It's THE fight that would have a vast degree of historical significance. Who knows if he really wants it though.
