Will Big John McD beat Tyson Fury again?

It can't be any different as Tyson has only had one or two fights since the last McDermott bout against tomoto cans. Yet, still the bookies has Fury as a big favourite? Why?

 

I'm going for Fury just on the very shaky basis that he's seemed keener on the rematch than McDermott. "Talk is cheap" I know but there we are.....

Really though im not sure having seen virtually nothing from either since their last fight its hatd to gauge but i would say McDermott has been completely inacitve. IMO he beat Danny Williams in their first fight but seemd completely demoralised and out of ideas in the rematch i fear he may freeze in this one. The 12 round distance makes it interesting though im picking Fury in this one by decision

 

50/50 fight in my opinion, hope McDermott wins though just to see how fury reacts

 

Think Fury will win.

McDermott did well in the first fight but you get the feeling he has to work harder than Fury to win rounds. I think Fury will up his work rate this time and that will be enough.

 

He seemed to go into the last fight expecting it to go no further than 2 rounds. Hopefully his attitude has changed and he can try and form some sort of gameplan.

 

If Fury turns up in shape and focused he'll win.

The actual decision in the first fight wasn't that bad, it could have been a round or two either way (I had it a draw) but 8-2 to Fury is a bit ****ing daft

McDermott can't be arsed training properly to 220ish, therefore I can't be arsed supporting him.

I'd still take Fury to beat Harrison, despite all the hysteria in the media about him getting a fight with Haye.

 

I hope McFlurry gives him an ass whooping to remember. I like John McDermott. Him and Sexton too. I think Sexton whoops Fury too, as does Martin Rogan. These are the fight's I'd like to see.

 

people forget that Fury tried to dig deep himself in that match and was still trying to win despite breathing out of his ass, he underestimated big John in the first match and i dont think he'll do that again.

 

I agree, Fury was fighting quite often around that time and I think he saw McDermott as "just another fight" and perhaps underestimated the job.

Thats not to say I think Tyson has this massive reserve of extra skill and talent that we didn't see in the first fight to draw on. Just that he may have a bit extra over what he showed in that first fight, I'm not sure that McDermott has though.

 

I thought McDermot clearly won that fight but still reckon Fury has a far better level of performance in him than he showed that night. We saw the best of McDermot, but not the best of Fury, who despite being over-hyped out of all proportion is rightly favorite for the re-match in my opinion.

 

I dont think people realise that in the first fight tyson threw 570 punches to Mcdermotts 334 so work rate was not an issue with tyson. It also depends how you watched the fight, if you watch with the commentry then Mcdermott won, if you watched with no commentry then tyson won by about 2 rounds, but not the 6 rounds the ref had it! Its also interesting to see tyson praise Mcdermott this time by saying Mcdermott is the best british heavyweight exept for himself and Haye. Can wait for the fight, if what tysons trainer Bryan Hughes said is right, that when he saw him spar in Germany, Tyson was "boxing the ears off" the likes of Gerber & Helenus. Then we should see better Tyson Fury.
