Chavez would lose the out-fighting battle, not the in-fighting battle but the out-fighting battle. But he would probably be the best chance and man to do it at 135 against Duran.

Ike Williams? I think he would do it.

Beau Jack would drag him into deep water, doubt he could do it though.

    And his body.

And if Duran trained on hookers and vodka.

I mean, the guy thought he'd gt castigated for that remark, so why didn't he try and provide some sort of analysis as to whyhe thought Wicky could do it?!?!

As it stands, I'd say Ike Williams would hold his own. Whether he'd take Duran out or win the rounds I don't know, but I don't see him being overwhelmed himself, too good, too tough, too damaging a puncher.

Chavez would make it interesting too. He isn't going to wilt, and with his brilliant combination punching to head and body would make Duran fight like he's never had to ebfore.

But I'd favour Durans all round game to win figths with these two; but in terms of 'phone booth' scraps, these are two guys I don't think would be dissuaded easily.

I'd take Walker over anybody to do it, as McGrain says though I think he needs 15 to fully-impose himself.

    A prime Duran?

Anyway, i don't see it ultimately happening for Chavez personally. But i can't help but think Ike Williams has the potential. Duran is going right into power, and whilst Duran is technically better in that realm, Williams has fast, explosive combos/flurries which mean hell inside at his best.

prime or not Hearns beat him. A hard punching guy like Arguello could do better than Duran than anyone thought probably.

Duran was a dominant lightweight and the best fighter of 2 decades up to his win over SRL 71-1, If we could enlarge Duran to a Heavyweight, IMO he would be better than Ali

One of the greatest fighter I have seen
