Honestly, I think Floyd needs Roger about as much as Arreola needs beer and burrit-forget that example. I don't think Mayweather needs Roger at this stage. The guy would probably do what he always does and dissect his opponent and out-think him. I think Pacquiao needs Roach, I don't think Mayweather needs Roger. He could just as soon have his dad in the corner. Same job would probably get done, imo.

Edit: Apparently I'm not the first one to comment on that. I just think once a tactical fighter gets Floyd's age, they're going to do what they do regardless of who is in their corner.

It's up to HBO to put the pressure onto Mayweather/GBP now, if Mayweather asks for more than 50/50 then even the most deluded Floyd dicksuckers must concede that he don't want the fight.

We know Arum dos'nt want the fight as he wants Pacman to clean house & the Mayweather clan along with GBP want to cherry pic their way to another $200/$300 over the next 2/3 years. Why risk all the marbles for $40Million, ****in obscene considering that 95% of folk are now facing hard $$$$ times & you get these ****ers still out to mug you for what you have left. Only HBO has the clout to tell Mayweather to get in the ring or freeze him out of the HBO $$$$$$$$$$$$ trough.

Only Pacman wants this fight, win or lose it'll bring the curtain down on a remarkable career & then he'll step into his politico shoes. Mayweather will never ever risk his 0, as i said it's up to the yank public to bombard HBO & publicly threaten to boycott any more of these circus acts that feature the Mayweathers/GBP.

    50/50..............Just ****in do it:bbb

Pacfans; Another sad fact of life is that once Pacquiao retires or is beaten and the executives in boxing can no longer pimp him: Pacquiao will become the “Sacrificial lamb” of boxing! MLB knew there was a problem with steroid use; but they needed something to revive the sport and the chase for the home run record was perfect! Once it was all said and done and Congress and fans demanded answers; MLB sacrificed Mark McGuire to preserve the integrity of the sport. Boxing will do the same to Pacquiao. Boxing as a sport will survive the oncoming storm; and Pacquiao will be the poster boy for all that was wrong with the sport. He’s really in a bad spot right now-can’t take the test cause he would have to fight Mayweather clean(public humiliation). So he’ll just keep playing the spin game to make it appear as though Mayweather won’t fight when in reality; Pacquiao has no intention of fighting Mayweather.

Phelps was specifically tested because he did have so much at stake at the Olympics. He didn’t complain or refuse because of superstitions or because he was an American being bullied by the IOC or some ridiculous excuse; Phelps made himself readily available to the IOC and complied with their testing! And I think Michael Phelps made out during the Olympics.

It would be great if he accepted it, but I think it would make sense if he didn't. FMJ entered into negotiations in good faith before for it to all go up in smoke. So instead of back and forth negotiating FMJ may use a black and white term, USADA testing. He said as much after the Mosely fight.

Unlike Top Rank, FMJ is a singular entity and doesn't have fighters waiting in the wings to take Pac's place. Pac on the other had has another decent fight lined right up in Margarito. Just like he had in Clottey. Pac also qualified his statements with "as long as it is not too much blood". So his acceptance of 14 days is conditional not concrete.

So basically the question for FMJ is, "Does he put all of his eggs in the Top Rank basket that Bob Arum is carrying or does he provide the terms and let The Fight (or fighters) come to him?"

IMHO, it makes more sense not to freeze up options negotiating with Pac. If he starts negotiating formally other guys will start matchmaking and he can be left again without a dance partner if Pac decides to pull more of his crap.

Give it a rest. Your bias on the PBF/PAC issue is ridiculous.

MLB didn't sacrifice Big Mac, Jose C. did. If MLB was interested in maintaining the integrity of the sport, they would not have waited for Jose's book and public outcry before doing something. Additionally, the players union themselves were more concerned about protecting the players and not the integrity of the game.

The 2003 MLB survey had over a 100 players who tested positive for PED use and it took them (MLB and the players union) years before doing anything about it.

If any boxer is on PEDS, regardless if it PAC, PBF, I'll be the first person to lose support for them.

The funny thing is that you single out PAC but if you really think Boxing is going try to preserve the integrity of the sport by sacrificing a boxer, why focus on a boxer who hasn't tested positive for any PED use. Shouldn't they single out boxers who actually have tested positive - like Roy Jones, James Toney?
