Randy "The Ancient" Couture vs. James "Fat & Old" Toney

Why do people think this? Toney is only a heavy because he gets so out of shape, not because he's a naturally big guy. His best weight to end his career at would have been around 175. He has NEVER been a one punch guy and he's going to be punching without his feet set because he'll be afraid of kicks and takedowns. If it was regular boxing he'd certainly stop Couture by accumulation of punches, but one shot? I really, really doubt it.

 

James Toney will KO Coulture. If Chuck Liddell can stop Coulture, then Toney can.

 

Yeah, there's no difference between Toney's skill set and Chuck Liddell's.

 

It's very hard to see how Toney even survives the first round. There's no way Couture is going to be stupid and fancy his chances at striking like Sylvia did against Mercer. He'll take Toney down and end it on the gorund, probably by g´n´p.

The only way Toney wins is by knocking him out cold. Let's say Toney catches him and knocks him down. Couture can just lie there until he recovers. Is Toney gonna jump on him and try and submit him or GnP him? No, he'll get caught up and submitted. Toney has to take him completely out.

chuck has such a bad defence on his feet , yet has a great wrestling defence and thats why he could survive against colture , and being able to ko randy.

Toney has great punching amazing defense ( something randy has never delt with before ) I think , and Toneys foot work is what will win. I say Toney by KO

I would like to update my prediction from Toney by KO to Toney by submission. Toney will drop Couture with a punch then choke him out by laying on top of Couture's face with his belly.
