I doubt these comments or any other comments changed your true feelings for Khan, I haven't seen much outrage against Froch's comments that he had been robbed against Kessler. Hilarious.

It gets mentioned, and he gets criticized for it, all the time.

    Racism obviously doesn't exist, it's a myth.

Oh, I've seen the youtube comments, and some of the other stuff (not on here) coming out after he was KO'd by Prescott was disgraceful, and not something I want to be associated with.

I just don't think that's the way the vast majority on here feel, and I don't think anyone should be labelled for disliking a boxer because of how he acts inside the ropes or outside them; that's their prerogative as far as I'm concerned, as long as they back it up with valid non-rascist reasons (as they see it), which I think most do.

I agree this is a boxing fourm and most people like or dislike fighters on events which take place in or outside the ring. Me more focusing on what happens in the ring, but we like to also see fighters setting good examples outside the ring also and are right to judge them on this.

Khan is now one of U.K's top boxers and is closely followed so now it is only natural that we debate about him more, but sometimes i think we over analyse on some issues, and read to much into things, but hey i guess thats what we are here to do.

Well look at it this way:

Bradley doesn't have cheerleaders (that I know of on here anyway)

Bradley wasn't hyped before he'd done anything

Bradley has won his position the hard way and he's constantly taking on new challenges

Bradley doesn't brag on Twitter (that I know of)

Bradley's actions speak much louder than this words in my opinion. You see him doing impressive stuff, far more than you hear him talk about it.

But it's probably the race thing right?

I know it's not the point of this thread but that quote came from an interview where he was quite respectful, and refreshingly honest.

Khan's always getting hyped and talked about, and Khan cheerleaders are always buzzing around being a pain, so it makes sense that he gets a lot of negative talk as well. Its no mystery.

Plus its hard to root for a boxer who's facing constantly cherry-picked opponents, I find anyway. If that changes some day I'll give him his dues, win or lose, but I dont see it happening anytime soon.

Until then I'd prefer not to get the whining about there being a different rule for Khan, or people being accused of racism.

    Top posting as always Darni.:good

I honestly feel that a lot of the anti-Khan attitude on ESB can be traced straight back to the PPV thing with Prescott. That rubbed people up the wrong way; it looked like boxing fans were getting shafted £15 for a nothing fight between two guys that were nowhere near the world stage yet, and the pre-fight advertising with Sky comparing Khan to other fighters like Lewis and Hatton who had previously fought on Sky PPV events was tbh a bit provocative for real boxing fans.

That's what I think anyway. Could be wrong. Gotta admit though, I was one of those ****ers celebrating on the fight thread when Khan got sparked:oops:. I try to give him a fair enough crack of the whip these days.

The problem lies in the fact that he has effing annoying fanboys (Darni excepted of course blah blah blah) and equally mindless haters (some definately racist as well) in almost equal measure. This makes for the unheady mix of over-analysing tweets ffs on this forum (something that is not done for any other boxer)....Its all quite boring really, with the same circular arguments every time, until a new fight is announced (cue multiple excessive Khan threads), and when we see a slightly improved level of skillset frm khan, for the argument to shift slightly to the pro khan camp etc....My advice is to ignore all/most of the khan threads til a fight is announced/ the fight is imminent/ post fight analysis is required.

    Cheers Mac :good

Yeah looking back to how Sky and Warren were building Khan up and sticking him on PPV was a **** take, and they were making him out something Khan was clearly not at the time.

At least under Roach we are starting to see a decent young fighter now, who wants to take on the best in his division real soon hopefully.

Not impressed by Bradley anymore. His comments are stupid. I didn't think he would turn into a dick.

He avoided Devon when he was his mandatory and now he has avoided Devon when he was unified champ.

Bradley is hurting boxing now. I hope the fight is made ASAP so a new man can be established at 140.

Alexander vs Bradley against winner of Khan vs Maidana.
