I've never seen a boxers attitude change so drastically after a loss. The guy was willing to fight anyone, anywhere a couple of years back. Once he picked up that world title...if I remember rightly, he was calling out everyone...and his first title defense was against a still dangerous opponent in Taylor, in his own back yard...which shows you a great deal about his confidence, ambition and hunger back then. However, all I seem to hear and read at the minute is him complaining about the location, and possible retirement if he loses...obviously his confidence is shaken, and no doubt happens to everyone once that first loss comes. But the complaining wouldn't seem nearly as bad if he hadn't regularly expressed his willingness to fight anyone, anywhere...
he needs to stop with the spitting the dummy. Yes places like Denmark and Germany are hard to go to and get a points win, but he needs to be clear on the fact that it was a clear decision against Kessler.
To be honest...I don't think he is going to be happy unless the bout is in Britain, which I highly doubt is going to happen. And I don't know why he wants the bout in America...two European boxers, if the bout is close...it could be a toss up.
He was more arrogant then Mayweather yet only had 10% of his skill, so when he lost it threw his world upside down.
He didn't have the boxing ability to back up his confidence/arrogance...and although he seemed to actually believe he could beat anyone, I didn't mind it because it showed he was willing to fight anyone. But now he just seems to be moaning...and setting himself up for his next loss...
Also losing to someone Calzaghe beat must have really hurt him, considering how much he hates ol slappy.
Oh yeah...I forgot about that. Thats probably hurting him more than anything. He's probably not bothered about actually losing...just losing to someone Calzaghe already beat.
No doubt that the loss to Kessler hurts like hell...I really doubt he can turn it around in his next fight...I think he will be Knocked out...
Here's another excuse from Fraudch, What a joke :roflatsch: http://www.panarmenian.net/eng/spor...ffers_Majorca_as_Abraham_vs_Froch_fight_venue Sauerland offers Majorca as Abraham vs. Froch fight venue June 1, 2010 - 13:11 AMT 08:11 GMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Super middleweight Carl Froch and Arthur Abraham continue to battle over fight location for their showdown in the third stage of Showtime's Super Six tournament, ***********.com reported. The latest offer thrown on the table from Abraham's promoter, Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event, would see the event take place in a bull ring in Majorca. Froch quickly turned it down. "I don't fancy that," Froch said. "What about the heat?" Froch wants the fight to take place in Nottingham at Meadow Lane or the Trent FM Arena or in America. Sauerland says the fight has to happen in Germany or an alternate venue in Europe. Sauerland may have been willing to work something out where the fight would take place in Nottingham, but not a single venue in the area has sent him an offer to host the fight. "It's all about money in this business and we haven't received any financial offer from Nottingham, so, as it stands, we won't be going there," said Sauerland. "And I'm not really interested in America. We've looked at Zurich and Majorca. I love the idea of a bull ring in Majorca."
Froch should go away. If Taylor wasn't so lazy and had trained properly, we wouldn't have to be hearing from this clown anymore. As it stands, an epic fail on Taylor's part gets turned into a great comeback by Froch, he keeps his belt and gets into this tournament that's apparently going to last until most of these guys are past their primes. Froch has never been that good. It was obvious in how easily Taylor outboxed him for nine rounds in his firts foray into the top level. Since then he's got a questionable hometown decision against a scared fighter, and a loss to the oldest guy in the tourney. He's the weakest link and biggest fraud in this tournament and needs to just quit.
