I'd like to see more of Maidana before I make a decision but as of right now, I'll say Corrales. He has good boxing ability and has the reach. Corrales also has more experience in ring wars and has tons of heart.

Corrales, in a lopsided UD, IMO.

    RIP CHICO!

...Do you mean at 140 where Chico accomplished jack****? Because I don't think Maidana has fought under 140.

Chico was overrated at 130 and 135, let alone 140.

He'd probably win, but based on what? Pointless hypothetical matchup.

Next up, Tony Ayala vs James Kirkland

Can we get past this Maidana guy , I watched him against Kotelnik and the man was terrible , just because he beat a golden boy HBO wanna be, then he is the most dangerous man in the 140 division, Corales by tko early.

And beat Cayo, who was highly touted and previously impressive. He wasn't that bad against Kotelnik, I had it 115-113 to Andreas.

Kirkland would win, unless Ayala was allowed to bring his knife.

    Maidana by brutal KO.

Corales was easily hittable and did nothing at heavier weight division than the light weight.

Corrales overrated at 130 and 135?? You must be kidding man! I'm not the kind of guy who idolizes old timers or guys who passed away but Corrales really was a monster at 135. He would win based on his speed and power + activity and will.

Chino takes it via brutal stoppage. Chico was knocked out by a LWW Castillo in the rematch and twice decked vs. Clottey, and that was his only two fights above 135lbs. Chino is a two-fisted 90%+ KO artist at 140lbs, and despite Chico being a much better boxer, he was there to be hit at lower weights. Weight decides the fight at 140lbs not skills, and it's really an unfair fight for Chico, a natural 130-er despite his height.

Corrales's boxing ability is overrated big time here at ESB.
